Daniel's POV
I have always loved the feeling of the wind in my fur as I ran in my wolf form. The freedom as I bolted through the trees and the exhilaration at the speed. Yeah, being a werewolf pretty much rocked.
"Alpha! We've caught a scent here! Smells like a witch..." My Beta told me through our mind link. Before he even finished his sentence, I had already run over to where he was sniffing. I inhaled the scent... and it hit me like a ton of bricks.
It smelt like pure heaven. There was no other word to describe that exquisite scent. I let my nose lead the way towards the source of the scent. My Beta, Jake, asked me," Alpha? What do I do?" I only growled at him harshly in response. "Stay here." I ordered him. My wolf had taken over. He was whispering," Mate... must find mate..." The sweet scent brought me to a lake.
There, beside the lake, lay an angel. No, my angel! She looked like a goddess with her flowing blonde hair and her petite frame. I stalked forward silently.
However, my eyes were so fixated on her that I did not notice the branch that lay in my path. The snapping of the twig startled the both of us. She let out a small yelp and bolted to her feet, looking around wildly for the origin of the sound. When she spotted me, her eyes widened and she stepped back.
Sorry it's so short, guys! But I wanted to give you an upload so I pretty much rushed this chapter. I'm not really satisfied with this so... Yeah. Votes and comments are much appreciated! :D
