I walk out the tall classroom door thanking god that I'd don't have to hear anymore about how a book with no moral meaning has moral meanings. I turn and walk down the hall way while finishing throwing my supplies in my backpack.
"Tsk" I let out unconsciously when I realize that my roommate is bringing over his lady friend tonight so I'm stuck sleeping in the media room.
I walk past a window and see that my short black hair is a total mess and is starting to reach my eyes. I also notice I gained a slight tan thanks to being in the window seat that roasts me alive 30 minutes into a three hour class. This happens in more than one class, but the three hour one is the worst. Not only do I roast, but I also have to deal with the teacher's Illegible hand righting, I know it's because of how fast he is writing, but it still makes it much harder to take good notes.
"This sucks" I mutter under my breath.
I walk down the first flight of twelve flights and keep myself away from the right side as much as I possible, as I can see all the way to the ground floor. so since the thought of being a smashed jelly pastry on the floor isn't all that appealing, I try to keep away from the ledge.
I get to the bottom floor and it's as bustling as a city since all the other classes just let out.
I slowly make my way out of the building and head back to the dorm to get my blanket for tonight as I'm stuck in the media room tonight for reasons already explained.
I get the room's key checked out and get my stuff in there then start up my homework.
...
Around 9 at nights it's dark, but the moon is out and there are street lamps all over campus. It's nice and cool out so I decided to go for a walk around campus. I walk past the food hall that's open all day and night is bustling with our "Vampires". Then I find myself on the edge of campus and remember something... this is we're all those shooting happened recently.
I keep my head my head on a swivel watching for anything as I turn around and head back to the dorm. Then a cool breeze brushes over me as a loud POW rings through the air. I turn around and see a woman polp onto the ground limp and unmoving my eyes track someone holding a pistol sideways. The one thing going through mind was shit shit shit SHIT! I start to run away trying to find a place to hide. Then I felt it. Time slowed to almost a standstill as a bullet entered the back of my skull and painfully slowly comes out my right eye. Unlike the stories where a head shot is instant death I feel it all. I drop to the ground and see the shooter run past and the sound of sirens fill the air. Then the world goes black.
"If you want to live then I could help" a female voice says. My remaining eye springs open to see a realm of white, in front of me was a beautiful woman with long white hair and deep violet eyes.
"The thing is you can't go back to your world. You have died in a world where resurrection by a god other than him is impossible"
I try to stand up, but my body is stiff and unmoving. Almost as if she read my mind she grabs me by the shoulders and lifts me into my feet.
"Can I have your answer?"
And without hesitation I say "yes".
Then she puts her gentle hand  on my face and pulls me into a kiss. Then a light envelopes is and I can see out of my right eye again. The first thing I see is that she has the wounds that we're inflicted upon me
"Are you" I start to say before she cuts me off.
"I am fine I am the goddess Athena. This will regenerate overtime so do not worry about it. You now have one of my eyes and a potion of my brain"
"Wait does that mean I'm gonna get superpowers" I ask excitedly.
"In a way yes, but I am going to send you to another world one that is referred to as pure fantasy. I ask that you live a happy life there, that will be payment enough for what I have given you"
"Wait this seems so one sided why are you doing this?"
"It's on a whim I feel there you will be very entertaining to watch" she says with a smile "now good luck my Apostle"
Then a bright light blinds me and I'm standing in a lush green plain.
"Well.... shit"
...
I start walk toward where I saw some smoke and lights figuring it was a town. At this point I notice that I'm wearing a brown cloth tunic and a matching pair of pants. Around my neck is a golden neckless with a beautiful white and gold owl hanging off of it.
I keep walking till I hear a scream from the direction of the smoke. I stop and consider running then thought of what happened last time I ran... I died. I charge forward quickly getting through a small woods and come out to see a two story home in a blaze.
I spot people around it one I can Identify as the owner as he's freaking out, but not about his home.
"What's going on" I ask frantically.
"My daughter is still in there" the man says going to charge the front door, but his neighbors stop him and tell him he'll only die.
"Athena I'm sorry, but I'm going in forgive me if I die" I think to myself.
I charge and the neighbors go to stop me, but are to late I leap through the window and quickly get to the ground. The room is full of smoke and is mostly on fire. I find a set of stairs and hear frantic coughing and quiet moans for help. I quick scurry up the stairs to see a woman about my age, wearing a cloth dress that has some holes burned in it by embers, she has blond hair and cat ears. She hears me and turns to look and I see her eyes are a unique golden color. I grab her and throw her over my shoulder and look out the window. I then catch a bit of vertigo and the smoke I breathed in caught up with me and with the last strength... I throw the girl and then everything fades to black. I awake looking at an unfamiliar wood ceiling and a cat girl's head on the bed that I'm laying in.
I look around and see her father and the very obvious mother sitting next to the bed.
"Hello" I say cautiously.
"Thank you for saving my daughter" the man says. The father has long dark brown hair and brown eyes.
"It's no big problem" I say with a fake smile.
"It's a big thing for us she is our only surviving child" the mother says.
The mother looks just like an aged version of her daughter.
"I'm Anderson Jäger, it's nice to meet you all" I say offering my hand. The man takes my hand and shakes it.
"I'm Charlie Fairchild" the man says letting go of my hand.
"I am Nyoa, and this is our daughter Lilith" the mother says happily while looking at her daughter.
"How did I get out?" I ask.
"When you through my daughter to me, you past out and fell through the window. Also our daughter healed you as much as she could, but she isn't practiced enough to do to much. So you may still be injured. We'll have the town priest look at you when he's back in town".
"Thank you" I say then I go to stand up and find the girl's head is in the way. So I slide back in the bed and then put my feet on the floor. I stand up and feel little dizzy so I sit back down quickly.
"Are you ok?" Nyoa asks.
"I'm fine just a little dizzy" I respond getting back to bed "I'm gonna nap for a bit if you don't mind".
"Go ahead we'll leave you be" Charlie says getting up and taking his wife with him.
After a little while I pass out.
...
I open my eyes and notice that I'm all alone. I see a window, but beyond it is pure white. I sit up and look around the room.
"Where am I?" I think. I stand up and walk to the door. I grab the door handle and begin opening it. When it opens I step out and the ground for a foot or two is wood, but beyond it breaks apart to a familiar white world.
"Hello again." Athena says appearing with a smile.
"Did I die again?".
Athena disappears and then I feel a hand on my shoulder. I turn and she is standing there.
"Yes, you did. Quite hilariously too" Athena says with a giggle. She but her arm around my shoulder and holds on.
"You fell from the window and ended up looking like a jelly doughnut that was stomped on. I healed you before any of the villagers found you though".
"Wait wait how did I end up a smash jelly filled pastry?"
"After you passed out you fell out the window. Then your foot got caught, but thanks to the weakened structure it broke apart and the building joined you in falling".
"Well thanks for saving me".
"Anderson, you are like my own child, so let's try not to die so much. Alright?"
"Right" I say with a nod.
Then the world once again goes dark.
