ONE • DEAD MAN WALKING
"PEOPLE DON'T USUALLY REGRET DOING SOMETHING, THEY JUST REGRET BEING CAUGHT."

Fear.
An unpleasant emotion caused by the belief that someone or something is dangerous, likely to cause pain, or a threat. There are many synonyms to describe fear - dread, dismay, alarm, panic. No other words could accurately relate to how Natalia felt sitting in that cold interrogation room with her hands cuffed to a table.
Strain.
Natalia felt it course through her veins at an alarming rate. The pit in her stomach only grew as the silence became an eerie concept. No one walked in, and she couldn't walk out.
Disheveled.
This is how the agents in the other room would describe her. Her hair was disheveled. Her clothes were disheveled. She was reminded of her appearance as she gazed upon the one sided mirror, her reflection staring back at her.
Pain.
She felt it. Not just the pain in her wrists from handcuffs, there was emotional pain there too. Constant anxiety and loneliness haunted her everyday. Luca made sure of that. And she knew that wasn't the only pain she'd be feeling if she agreed to say anything to the Feds.
That's why the first thing Derek Morgan noticed when he walked into the room, was the unconscious drumming from her nails to the table.
