Dear friend,
I hope you are well. I am thinking of that last time we spoke. That was the day that Oscar's dog ran away? Do you remember? I do. We ran all over the town looking for that little dog. All day long. Not thinking of anything else, you were driven. I saw that spark in your eyes again. I almost thought you could be happy again.
When we were little, do you remember? I would wait at the end of your street for you to walk by me, hoping you'd say hello. You always smiled as you walked by, so shy. It didn't matter. It was enough.
Days would pass, with only a glimpse. Always that smile and sometimes a small wave.
