My mother handed me a pretty blouse and a grayish tan skirt. I pulled the shirt over my head just as Katniss walked in. She looked beautiful in her blue dress, Mother's.
"I wish I looked like you." I told Katniss.
"I wish I looked like you." Katniss replied. "But you better tuck in that tail, little duck." Katniss said as she tucked in a little bit of my shirt that was sticking out.
When Mother left Katniss kneeled down beside me.
"Here." She said holding a gold pin in her hand.
"What is it?" I asked.
"It's a mockingjay pin. To protect you." Katniss says. "As long as you have it, nothing bad will happen to you." She continued as she pinned it onto my shirt. "Time to go." Katniss said as she stood up and led me out of the room.
