Let me start by saying that this story is deep! Prepare yourself for some major mood changes and heartbreaking scenes. This story follows a hybrid – half human, half wolf – girl who is on the run from her psychotic and abusive father; not only does she have to struggle with her past but she finds herself struggling with herself too. I found her to be a very strong and brave character yet somehow she still has her weak points and struggles to find the person who she really is inside. When she meets her mate things change for her in more ways than one; not only will she have to decide if she is ready and worthy of love again but she also discovers things about her past that she never knew before. This is a great story and it really pulled at my heartstrings, I’m sure there was more than one part that had me on the verge of tears; the main character portrays a strong woman on the outside but she’s fighting with inner demons that many readers may be able to relate to.
