Preference #7: Song Preference, "She Looks So Perfect" by 5SOS

Start from the beginning

"What did you say?" he challenges, narrowing his eyes at you. You give him a playful smile.

"This song is ridiculous," you repeat boldly, challenging him. Ashton tries to suppress a laugh at your argument, which is even more ridiculous than the song, as he pins your wrists above your head.

"Well then," he growls, "looks like I'll have to punish you for that. I can't let you insulting Boyz II Men just slide like that." His lips crash against yours in a fast, sexy, heated kiss, and before you know it, his hands have made their way to the waistband of your worn-out skinnies. He pulls back for a second and looks at you, satisfaction written across his face.

"What?" you ask breathlessly, lightly brushing a stray hair out of his eyes.

"You can't possibly leave these on," he explains as he practically tears them off and throws them to the floor.

Michael:

they say we're too young now to amount to anything else

You and Michael had been lying in bed for a long time. Although both of you were tired, sleep wasn't coming any time soon for either of you. Michael's mother's words rang in your ears as you laid there, snuggled into his arms. This isn't a forever thing, Michael. She isn't forever for you. As soons as the phrases popped back into your head, repeating themselves incessantly, you began crying. Michael sighed quietly, attempting to soothe you by running his fingers through your hair in long, slow strokes.

"Baby doll..." he murmurs, leaning down and kissing behind your ear, "it's gonna be okay, I swear. Nothing's gonna come between us. She just... needs time to think," he explains softly. You nod, hiding your face in his chest. Loose, messy locks cover your face as you soak his t shirt with tears. "Hush, babe, I don't love you any less," he whispers.

"I just... I just really want her to like me," you whimper. "I mean, I want us to be happy for a long, long time. And if she doesn't like me, I-" Michael ducks his head down to you and cuts you off with a soft, slow, sweet kiss.

"Nothing's gonna come between us," he repeats huskily, the deep bass of his voice vibrating against your lips. "You're mine forever, remember?" he asks with a warm smile, lightly tapping your nose with his pointer finger. "You're not getting rid of me anytime soon, okay, sweetheart?"

"Okay," you respond, exhaling deeply as you nod. "I trust you."

"I love you, (Y/N), so so much," he reassures you as he gathers you back up into his arms and tucks you into his body.

Luke:

if i showed up with a plane ticket, and a shiny diamond ring with your name on it

would you wanna run away too?

cause all i really want is you

"I can't do this anymore, Luke!" you yell, flopping facedown onto the bed in your shared hotel room. You had just walked back into the building after a day of shopping with your boyfriend, Luke. You were having a great time touring around New York City until you had to return to your hotel. It was mobbed by fans of 5SOS, all of whom were spitting nasty comments about your appearance, your personality, and how you didn't deserve Luke.

"Babe, please..." Luke murmurs as he sits on the bed beside you, nudging your head up so it rests on his leg. You turn over and stare up into his beautiful blue eyes as hot, salty tears run down your cheeks.

"Please what, Luke? I can't make them stop hating me," you choke out through your sobs. "What did I ever do to them?" you add. He sighs and runs his hands through his hair.

"Nothing, love. Nothing at all, and that's why they're upset. They're upset because you are so lovely and sweet and wonderful that you haven't said a single bad thing about them." Luke leans down and kisses you softly, his messy hair lightly brushing your forehead. "I love you, and they're going to have to get used to you, because you're gonna be sticking around," he whispers against your lips.

"I just... I need a break from it, you know? I want your fans to love me, but I'm also not ready to confront them," you explain weakly, biting your lower lip. Luke nods and stands up, gently laying your head back down on the bed. He walks over to his suitcase and squats down in front of it, rummaging silently for a few seconds. "What are you doing?" you ask as you stand up off the bed and walk over to him, leaning down and draping your arms around his neck as you plant sloppy kisses across his cheek.

"I have something for you," he answers, retrieving a small box and an envelope from the bottom of his bag. He grabs your legs and pulls you up onto his back, carrying you over to the bed. The two of you stretch out comfortably, and Luke wraps you up in his arms just as the sun starts to go down.

"What is it?" you ask quietly after you get comfortably situated, reaching out to grab the two items. Luke chuckles and holds them out of your reach.

"Two things. First," he says as he tears open the envelope, "two tickets to Sydney. I thought it might be good for us to just spend some time in my hometown and just...chill," he explains with a warm smile.

"Yes! Oh my god, yes! That sounds great!" you agree enthusiastically, leaning up to kiss his lips. He laughs as he kisses you back.

"I haven't even shown you the second thing yet!" he responds, still laughing. Luke calms himself down and continues, holding out the small box in front of you. "So, I know things are crazy right now, and they've been crazy for the past year we've been together and they'll keep being crazy for as long as we're together. But I love crazy, and I love you, and I want you to stick around to keep things crazy. So in this box..." Luke pauses for a moment and opens up the box, "is a promise ring. It means that someday, when we're ready, we'll get married. And things will be crazy forever, and I'll love you forever." With that, Luke offers you the ring to slip on your shaking finger as he lightly kisses your forehead.
