"Hi, my name is Mya Coleman and I'm here for the job interview" I smiled at the receptionist.

As I waited for her to finish typing away on her computer, it gave me a chance to really get a good look at her. She had beautiful long brunette hair that came just over her perfectly plump bust. She wore a simple baby pink V-neck dress, I couldn't really see how well it looked on her behind the desk but from what I could see she was gorgeous.

"Uhmmm...yes, you're a little early though but you can sit in the waiting area while you wait. Can I get you anything to drink?" She politely smiled at me.

I felt like a snooping child who had just been caught out. I didn't miss the smirk she had when she caught me ogling though.

"No thank you, I'm fine." Watching her walking back to her desk was definitely a pleasant sight. That dress did wonders for that slim body.

After the job interview I met up with my best friend Tommy for a long overdue lunch date. I've been avoiding him for a while now because all he ever complains about is my plans to relocate.

When I got to the diner he had not arrived yet which was typical of him, we were supposed to meet 30 minutes ago.

"I swear you're going to get assassinated one of these days" he just sat down, called the waiter and ordered a drink like nothing happened.

"There's nothing wrong with sitting by the window, you're just paranoid that one of your psycho ex's are going to spot you with another woman"

The look on his face was priceless. He was shooting daggers at me with his eyes and I knew I was going to pay for it.

"Haha very funny Coleman, I think you mean your psychotic ex who claimed to be pregnant with your child" he burst out laughing.

I've had my fair share of crazy ex's but that one took the cup. No one understand how I got her pregnant, I'M A FEMALE!!!! IT'S IMPOSSIBLE FOR ME TO GET HER PREGNANT.

" What can I say, I'm a magnet for the crazy. That's how I met you " I smirk at him.

"You know that you were drawn to me because of my good looks and ever so gorgeous smile."

I was about to respond when the waitress interrupted us.

"Hello, my name is Jojo and I'll be your waitress for today. Since this is the month of love and we specials for couples, can I interest you in any of the specials? My favourite is the lovers pasta. It's a bowl of spaghetti with heart shaped meatballs. Get it?" She giggles alone.

Tommy and I look at each other and smile. It was like an unspoken dispute on whether or not we should play a happy couple or not.

I sigh and shakes my head.

He taps he's fingers on the table and raises his eyebrow in question. I pout at him and look out of the window. He sticks his tongue out at me and looks out of the window too.

Jojo just stood there confused. Looking at her reflection on the window was hilarious. She attempted to leave a couple of times but always hesitated.

"Dude she's still here" Tommy turns to look at me with a bored expression.

"I'm aware of that tom tom" we both turned to look at her.

" No thank you Jojo, we won't be ordering anything. Can I have the bill please" he flashed his dimple infested smile at her and I swear her knees nearly buckled.

I must admit though, Tommy was hot. From his copper unruly hair, green eyes and dimpled face all the way to his toned body. His good looks have got us out of trouble a couple of times.

When the waitress left, his whole body atmosphere changed. He looked like he wanted to get something off his chest but didn't know where to start or how to articulate it.

"You look constipated, what's bothering you?"

He looked up at me and smiled.

"You know I love you right? And I wouldn't want anything to alter this weird friendship of ours. I need you to stay open minded about what I'm about to tell you" he looked so serious that I began to feel a little uncomfortable.

"Don't tell me that you're pregnant with my child. I told you that you should have used protection!" I gasp at him.

"No I'm not pregnant. Actually wait...what? That's doesn't even make sense. I'm trying to be serious here"

We burst out in hysterical laughter when we realised how all eyes happened to be on us

" no but seriously though, I have something to tell you. I got a job offer in South Africa and I'm thinking of taking it."

I was shocked at first but I'm always there to support my friend when he needs me.

" that's awesome love, when are you supposed to be there if you accept the job offer?" I asked a little worried.

"In a couple of months, thing is..." he looked at me with a guilty smile.

"What?"

"I want you to come with me."

I knew that Tommy might or might not have some feelings for me but this was just another level of crazy that I wasn't ready for.

"You don't have to answer me now, you still have time to think about it"

He knew what he was asking of me was crazy. I left that country for a reason and now he's trying to send me back to deal with the demons of my past.

I surely wasn't ready for that, but the way he just looked at me with those pleading eyes... I wasn't going to just reject his offer like that.

"I'll think about it" I sigh.

"That's all I ask for" he kisses my forehead before he heads back to work.

I never understood why I had such a soft spot for him.
