Goku x Human!Reader pt. 1

     "Hey! (Y/N)!" Your friend Goku called to you. You turned and waved to your longtime friend as he walked over to you. 

     "Hey Goku! Oh?" You noticed someone else was with him. He had one hell of a widows peak and spiky hair. "Who's your friend here?" 

     The man scoffed and crossed his arms at your words. "Kakarot and I are NOT friends." 

     "Kaka.. wha?" You tilted your head in confusion and looked at Goku. "What's a Kakarot?"

     "Oh that." Goku laughed and rubbed the back of his neck. "Let's go inside and I'll tell you after I eat. I'm starving." He rubbed his stomach with a smile that made your heart melt.

     Your face turned red and you quickly turned and walked to your door. "Y- yeah. Let's go inside." You replied, chuckling. You opened the door and let the other two inside, following behind them and closing the door. You looked at the new person and decided you might as well talk to him. He noticed you looking at him and scoffed again.

     "What are you staring at Earth Woman?"

     "First of all, my name is (Y/N), not 'Earth Woman.' Second of all, if you aren't Goku's friend, then who exactly are you?"

     "My name is Vegeta. I'm Kakarot's rival. I only came here because he mentioned something about a new training partner but I'm pretty sure he didn't mean you." You could see his cocky smirk, and it surely annoyed you.

     "Now hold on a se-"

     "Actually (Y/N) is pretty strong. She may not be a Saiyan, and she definitely can't go Super Saiyan, but before Raditz came to Earth she was close to my level." Goku said, eating more food.

     "Oh really? And if I remember correctly, you had to be revived because Raditz gave you and the Namekian such a hard time you had to sacrifice yourself. And he was as strong as the Saibamen." Vegeta looked at Goku and crossed his arms.

     "But I became stronger. Who's to say (Y/N) can't either?" Goku asked, going to eat more food. You quickly went in there and took the rest of the food from him so you could at least have dinner tonight. 

     "Whatever. Let's just get this over with. I have a feeling I'll be bored by the end of this."

     You were currently lying on the ground, bruised and bloodied. These two weren't even using a fraction of their strength and yet you were getting your ass handed to you on a silver platter. You were pretty sure your right arm was broken, and that you probably had a couple broken ribs, due to Vegeta beating you almost to death. But hey, you were able to land at least one good hit on Vegeta. You tried getting up, because if there was one thing you learned from Goku, it's that you never give up. You always aim for a higher goal.

     "This was a waste of time Kakarot. I'm leaving." He turned and was about to fly off.

     "Wait!" You called, standing up, holding your right arm with your left. Vegeta turned and looked at you. "I can't give up. I won't give up. You can break my arms, legs, even my ribs but I will never gi-" You felt your strength waver, and your vision went blurry. You swayed back and forth, then blacked out entirely, falling to the ground.

     You woke up in your bed, sunlight flooding into your room. You looked at your clock, it showing 5:34 p.m. as the time. You sat up slowly but quit moving after that. Your arm was still broken, and you were sure you had about maybe 3 or 4 broken ribs. You looked around your room for Goku but saw you were alone. 'Probably went back home to Chi-Chi' you thought with a sigh. You had no idea what Goku saw in her. All she did was yell at him, and she despised the thought of him training, much less fighting to save the fricken' world. 

     Your thoughts were interrupted when you heard your bedroom door open. You looked to it and saw Goku walk in with a small brown bag. He looked worried and concerned, but that was immediately replaced with happiness when he saw you were awake. He hurried over to your bedside and sat down opening the bag and pulling at a small green bean of some kind.

     "What's that?" You asked weakly.

     "It's a senzu bean. Eat it. It'll restore your energy and fix your arm." He handed it to you and you ate it. In a few seconds you felt completely restored. Your arm didn't hurt, and your stomach was a million times better.

     "Wow. This is amazing. All the pain is gone." You muttered to yourself. You heard Goku sigh and you looked at him. He had just a small smile on his face as he looked out your window.

     "You know, you really impressed me today. Even Vegeta. And nothing impresses him." Goku laughed a small bit and looked at you. "Even when you knew you couldn't beat us, even when we pretty much had beaten you to a pulp, you were still determined to fight. I guess I was right about you."

     You tilted your head. "But I wasn't even match for you two at below a fraction of your strength. How is that strong?"

     "Being strong isn't always just physical strength. It's also showing that even when you know you'll lose, you'll never give up." He said, smiling at you.

     You smiled back at him. "Well, I did learn from the best." You said, moving to sit beside him. "Listen Goku I, I have to tell you something." 'Not that it matters since you have Chi-Chi. But I might as well tell you now.' 

     "Hm? What is it?" He looked at you. You looked up at him with your (e/c) orbs but then looked back down again, running a hand through your (h/l) (h/c) hair.

     "I don't know why I'm telling you now, it's too late and it won't even matter. But I guess now feels like a good time." You sighed and kept your eyes on the ground. "Goku I, I like you. A lot. Hell you could even say I love you. I have ever since our teen years. But then you found Chi-Chi, and you fell for her. Even married her. I was happy for you but it also stung a little bit, knowing that the one person I loved didn't have the same feelings for me." You felt tears starting to form and you blinked, allowing them to fall freely.

     It was quiet, no one said anything. It was just the sound of birds chirping outside, and your quiet sniffles.

     "(Y/N) I, I had no idea you liked me like that." Goku said in an unreadable tone. But you could hear just a slight tinge of regret and concern in it.

     "It's okay. It's my fault for never having the guts to tell you." You laughed sadly. "Remember how always on my birthday when we were younger you asked me what I would wish for if i had the Dragon Balls?"

     "Yeah. What about it?" Goku asked, putting a hand on your back and rubbing it comfortingly.

     "Well, after a while of thinking.." You looked up at him, which caused you to cry more. "You. I would wish for you."

     Goku's eyes widened as he looked into your eyes, then he looked away. You looked away as well, hugging yourself with your arms trying to stop crying. Nothing was said for what felt like an eternity. It was just the the awkward silence with birds chirping in the background as you two sat there, looking at everything but each other. But nothing could prepare you for what happened next...
