Wow... This is going back really far. This chapter will definitely be the shortest due to the lack of memories I have from that long ago. So, I remember this kid named Jimmy, and he may come back in future chapters (he moved in, like, 3rd grade, so...). Some backstory of our kindergarten class- we had this amazing teacher, Ms. Henning, I believe. Near the middle of the year, we got one of those caterpillar-to-butterfly viewer things. We had that on the table right near the entrance. Jimmy had a crush on this girl whose name I don't remember whatsoever, so let's just call her Chris. Chris can be a girl's name, in case you were wondering about that... yea. So one day, Jimmy came early to class so he could be standing in the exact placement to look nice for Chris. That placement just so happened to be leaning on the table of the caterpillar thing. And at this time of the year, the caterpillar had just gone into it's chrysalis, so there was no way it could survive what was about to happen. So, the bell rings, which marks the time when the students should go to their class. So, right when Chris turns the corner to enter the room, Jimmy quickly leans up against the table. But as you probably know, a kindergartner's young and uncontrolled body, flailing up against an already slightly unstable table, might turn out badly. Not only does the table tip over, which already would have killed the poor insect, but Jimmy goes over with it, because why not? Now that I think about it, I feel really freaking bad for Jimmy; he killed our class "pet", probably injured himself while doing so, and probably worst of all, embarrassed himself horribly in front of Chris. But ya know? It was his fault, trying to be a lady-killer at age 6. I may be mixing up the next story with a story from preschool, but who gives a crap. I remember missing a day of school due to my stupidity. I remember running around in the backyard, and losing control. I ran directly into a cement bench, which is ALSO right below a rose bush, which has thorns. So, I ran headfirst into the bench (I still have a bump on my forehead), then fell into the thorns behind. Definitely painful to a kindergartner, still probably would be for anyone, but hey, I got to miss a full day of school.
Well, that's pretty much all I can remember about kindergarten, but trust me, I have plenty more stories for later grades. All the next chapters should be longer, but we'll see. After a couple of months sitting idle on a sci-fi story, I decided to just give up on it. It wasn't fun to type and I just wasn't motivated. But now that I'm going for more of a memory story, I feel like this could go on. With my birthday in less than 2 weeks, and with the knowledge that there's a 99% chance that I'm getting a drawing tablet for it, I feel like animations are a possibility. I feel like these stores would be fun to draw/animate. So yeah, hope to actually update this story.
