Once upon a mid-day dawning, while I stood there, with heart throbbing, over my sister Nessa, who now is no more—While I walked, sadly staggering, suddenly there came a hammering, as if somebody rudely tampering, tampering with my castle door. "Tis some bothersome Munchkin," I mutter, "hammering on my castle door— It better be this, and nothing more"

Now, distinctly I remember, it was in the month September; When a giant house came down on Oz's floor. Earnestly I sought some vengeance, since she showed no repentance, on that girl, that evil nuisance—a nuisance like a boar—whom the Munchkins hail as their magnificent savior— From the Witch of the East, forevermore.

Once again I heard the hammering, so I strode over with anger burning, and quickly opened the door to see a weird group of four; the weirdest group I ever saw; a lion, tin man, girl, and man of straw. Now in awestruck awe of what I saw, I starred at those standing in my castle door— the weird group of four just standing in my castle door— Cowardly and quietly, and nothing more.

Then I looked towards the dark-haired girl, standing there with her brown curls; I snarled with heart sore and cried, "I know what you came here for! You came to kill me yourself, for the wizard is too scared himself! Now, tell me why, why you dropped that house upon Oz's yellow-bricked floor!" The girl just whimpered, "I'm not sure..."

Much I marveled at this little girl, to give a response so plainly! I looked down to the floor, and saw Nessa's ruby slippers as part of her decor! "Tell me why," I growled, "Why you wear the shoes my sister wore, Why I'm unable to get them off your feet, I implore!" The girl just whispered, "I'm not sure..."

Now angered at this little liar, I picked up my broom and set it on fire; the girl with mouth agape reached for, the bucket full of water near the door. She cast the water upon my skin, burning me from within. And the girl just stood there as before, while I melted to the floor— Slowly melting to my own castle floor—

The Witch of the West—gone forevermore!
