The ugly head scientist stepped forward and poked the subjects. He flipped them over and began taking notes.

Next he summoned the assistant scientist for the loaded syringes, and attached needles to them from his pocket. He gently flicked the ends of the needles, making sure any excess air was expelled. Then he injected both subjects with the serum. He waited for a few moments, then went back to taking notes.

The ginger stirred. The scientists stood back, and the guards pointed their guns. After a few moments, the subject's eyes opened.
