Thunder storms in the morning; the best way to start the day according to Undyne. Faint lights emitted through the room as rain softly trickled against the windows. The curtain gently floating with elegant waves, allowing some natural light to shine through the room from time to time.
With a long yawn Undyne opened her still quiet sleepy eye as her earfins twitched at the sound of the rather rigorous weather outside her- their- apartment. Her long red hair messily draped over the white covers hiding her vulnerable body from the cold air.
Immediately her whole body flooded with a warm, fuzzy feeling at the sight of her tiny lover, still sleeping peacefully right beside her. Their legs hooked together and Undyne's arm loosely hung around Alphys her waist. A smile tugged along the corner of the former guards mouth as she caressed the others soft body with feather light touch. She took in everything that she loved about her girl; her chubby cheeks, gentle stress lines, the way her snout twitched sometimes and the tiny, almost invisible to those who didn't know where to look, freckles which almost seemed to form constellations if one were to look hard enough. Undyne considered herself very lucky to have her in her life, and would never want to wake up any other way than this.
Outside another loud crash could be heard, breaking Undyne from her reverie. Carefully and rather reluctantly she untangled herself from her lovers sweet embrace. Luckily enough this didn't wake Alphys, who only stirred slightly at the feeling of movement right beside her. With a blush creeping on her she planted a gentle kiss on her forehead. Alphys her mouth curved upwards.
Undyne prompted herself up with her elbow, another long yawn escaping passed her teeth as she glanced at the clock on the wall. 8:47AM. Slowly she stood up from the bed, walked over to a chair standing in the corner of their room, picked up the clothes she had thrown over the chair the night before and shuffled over to the bathroom to freshen herself up. The floor beneath her feet creaked softly in protest with every step the woman made, resulting in Undyne tiptoeing.
As she entered the apartments small bathroom she closed the door behind her. Her crimson hair messily hung over her shoulder, strands of hair poking out from almost every direction. She ghosted her slender fingers between the strands before smiling faintly as she slipped out of her stunningly white, and rather surprisingly cute, panties. Hesitantly she slid her nightgown from her sturdy shoulders. It fell soundlessly to the ground.
Cold water ran over the redheads back, resulting in a small shriek forming from her mouth as a her body shivered. She quickly turned around and fidgeted with the knobs until she finally achieved the perfect temperature she desired.
Two months, that's how long they'd been living together on the surface now. They had spent so much time looking for the perfect house, which actually turned out the be rather difficult since they both had completely different visions of what their ideal house should look like, but in the end they settled with an affordable apartment just a few minutes away form the city. In the beginning they went out everyday to buy furniture for their new home, since bringing their old possessions from the underground would take too much time. Once they had everything they needed, they started decorating which worked on Undyne's nerves a lot. She started screaming out of nowhere whenever something didn't turn out the way she wanted, or when she broke yet another piece from that damn IKEA furniture. But Alphys was always their for her to help her calm down whenever she needed it, a warm cup of tea clasped between her nervous hands as a gentle smile spread on her face, making Undyne remember why she was the luckiest gal she could ever be.
Water continued to clatter down onto the tiled bathroom floor before swirling down the drain in eye enchanting motions as Undyne ran her fingers over her own body. Alphys was always there for her, and Undyne wanted to thank her for that. She had taken her small lover out for dinner multiple times, bought her gifts, wrote the most heartwarming letters but despite Alphys saying otherwise, those gestures still weren't enough to Undyne. A deep, slightly frustrated sigh escaped past her jagged, yellow teeth as she averted her gaze towards the floor, pondering what she could possibly do until an idea suddenly hit her. Maybe it wasn't something fancy, or anything that would take lots of time and money to do, but hey- it's the thought that really counts, right?
Quickly she turned the water off, almost twisting her wrist in the process and excitedly hopped out of the shower stall, her now freshly washed long locks sticking to her damp body as the sounds of thunder could still be heard in the distance outside of the building.
