Benny (the sandlot)

"You love him!?"

Next morning and you were better, not great, but better. You have the opportunity to play on your boyfriends baseball team which was great you'd be with him all the time, you were like that before because Benny wanted practice to be every night. It was Sunday so practice starts tomorrow. So today you wanted to do something but not with Zach, you like him and everything but you didn't want to be with him everyday.
Who could I hang out with? I mean yeah-yeah but he's probably at practice.
So you decided to just walk around town and enjoy some you time. You got ready and headed out .
After walking for 10 minuets you find yourself by the sandlot. But weird they weren't playing? Benny never ended practice early or cancelled there must have been a problem. You wanted to walk to yeah-yeah's house to talk to him about it.

After you finally arrived at yeah-yeah's house you knock on the door. You waited... and waited and waited. You even tried knocking again. Nothing. No answer. That was very strange, suddenly a car pulled in the driveway, you relaxed it was just yeah-yeahs parents
"Hi Mr. and Mrs. McClennan" you said politely
"Oh hi dear how are you" Mrs. McClennan said
"Good my name is (y/n)"
"Oh I know dear Alan talks about you" she said gushing
"Oh that's nice, is he home I tried knocking?"
"Oh no dear he went to Benny's house, he'll be home tomorrow"
"Okay thank you ma'am" you said leaving
"Oh no problem dear come back anytime" she said

Great how am I supposed to talk to yeah-yeah if he's over at Benny's? I don't want to talk to Benny. I'll just talk to him tomorrow I guess

You went home after talking to Yeah-Yeahs parents. Maybe you could talk to your own dad, you haven't really spent time with him since the move. It will be great !

After arriving to your house  you go inside,
No dad he must not be home from work
you thought maybe you should make both of you some lunch while you wait.
*15 minuets later*
Your dad comes walking thought the door
"Hey honey! Good to see you home for once" he said kissing you on the head
"What are you talking about I see you everyday" you said smiling
"Well between your boyfriend, school, and baseball well you just don't really hang out with me anymore"
"Yeah I think I might spend more time with you now"
You passed him a plate with a sandwich on it for him to eat for lunch while you ate yours
"Speaking of boyfriend, how is Benny? Haven't seen him here in a while"
You started chocking on your drinking
*cough**cough**cough*
"Dad! I am not dating Benny I'm dating Zach!" You said catching your breath
"Zach? The kid that took you out on a date the other night? I thought you guys were just friends"
"Well if you knew it was a date why would you think we're just friends?"
"Because honey I see the way Benny looks at you and looks out for you, and same with you. I never saw that with Zach."
"No no no dad Benny is controlling no lovey and I guess I love Zach"
You dad started chocking as you did before
*cough**cough*
"You love him !?" Your dad said shocked
"Well yeah, I guess... he said he loved me and I said it back to him"
"But sweetie did you mean it?"
"Yeah sure, I mean he's super nice to me and cares about how I feel, and what I want"
"Oh yeah? What does to say or do" he says
"Like he's going to let me play on him baseball team tomorrow"
"What happened to going to the sandlot?" He said saddened
"Benny and I got into an argument so I'm not playing"
"Ohhhhhh honey that's no reason to quit the team" he says hugging you
"Yeah but this way I get to spend more time with Zach" you say trying to make it sound better
"Oh yeah I forgot you lovvvvvveeee him" he says playfully nudging you.
"Ha yeah I do.." you said unsure
