Thirty minutes later, Cece and I sat on the floor on top of a blanket I had spread out. More room this way. We'd made a lot of racket in the kitchen while making some energizing smoothies, as opposed to the nonenergizing ones. Regardless, the noise brought Jared out to investigate. He'd said to make him one and give him a few minutes to join us.

I took a sip of my smoothie while looking at Cece over the cup. She'd put a bit of eyeliner and mascara on, opting out of anything more because she knew we had a keen sense of smell.

"You look awfully pretty for someone who came from work."

Cece's eyes narrowed as she looked at me but instead of saying anything she tried to chug her drink. Utter disaster. Jared walked from his room just in time to see the last of the disaster which was smoothie slopping off Cece's face and landing on her black t-shirt.

"Are you alright, Celise?"

Jared took a couple steps to help her as I tried to control my laughter.

"Damn it, Cece! You did that on purpose!" My smoothie had come out my nose from the laughter since I had been mid sip when she made her blunder.

Her smile was diabolical with bits of seeds from the smoothie stuck in between a couple of her teeth. On top of it all, I had begun to get a brain freeze. Big heap Supernatural creature and I still got damn brain freezes.

"Maybe you both should go wash up in the sink.. or shower."

Cece and I glared at him and he raised his arms in surrender. Cece with a dripping smoothie mustache and I with smoothie snot. We went to wash up, didn't mean we had to agree with Jared's assesment though. After a few tickle fights, splashing of water, and a bit of battling for the first to get cleaned up, Cece and I were relatively decent enough to go back to what we were supposed to be doing.

Jared glanced up from the new blanket he had set down. "You both are the same as you were when we were kids I see."

"It's Slo's fault. She was picking on me." Celise skipped over to Jared and sat down close to him as I slowly made my way across the room.

"Sure blame it on the middle child."

Celise rolled her eyes, "Jared and you are twins."

"So? He was born first and you're younger than me. See? Middle child."

I plopped down on the other side of Jared and pushed a bit of magic into my ring. A few books landed in my lap and I began to look for the 'would-be' Dictionary. At least I hoped that's what it was. Even though it translated the language I didn't understand, it unfortunately translated it into Old Norse and I had no clue what the hell that said. Out of one frying pan into another.

"I wanted to run something by you both," Jared interupted our childish fight. To be honest we weren't really fighting, it was the sort of argument you have with someone you love so you know it's teasing in reality.

"Swing it our way," I said not really seeing the humor of it until Celise choked on nothing and fell over laughing.

Jared seemed to find amusement in it as well because his eyes simmered with it. "Look at this."

"Don't pull it out, Jared!" Celise said between laughing fits and then Jared couldn't hold it in either.

"Oh shut up. What do you want to show us, Jay?"

A few deep breaths and slaps on the back later, Jared pulled open the scroll I had gotten from the Off-Limits section. I had a sort of sixth sense when it came for things I was looking for. That's why it had taken so long for me to grab what I needed. Having about 10 different things drawing me towards them was hell on the brain, plus the Off-Limits section was creepy as hell. There were more ghosts in there than I've seen the total of days it's been since I got this little gift. Some chased me around the damn area and although they can't physically touch unless I allow it, little fact I found out, it was still disturbing having them run through me.
