The killers surrounding us

"This looks like something out of movie, something someone twisted and deranged would think of. I can't even rap my mind on why someone would do this." Arrow cried. His innocent mind was being possessed by the cruel doings of this person. He wrapped his arms around me and cried in my chest. "Why" he let out a couple of times. "Why........why............"

~Earlier that day~

"Benson? Benson!"

"Huh" I gasped looking around. I got lost into space thinking about the work that surrounded me and that will never get done.

"This cannot keep happening. We have complaints coming in benson. This isn't acceptable anymore and it never was."

"I understand and I apologize. I just don't understand this right he-"

"What's there not to understand? People don't feel comfortable in their own home. I've caught wind that some people walk around with guns because they feel so unsafe."

"What can we do about this? Huh? I can't help that there's people who have the right to buy a gun."

"Excuse me? It's been a long month for all of us. Please, just........ go check out this hotel. If you won't do it for me, do it for the people." Amy hands me a slip of paper with a address on it.

"I will." I say excusing myself from the room.

I leave my job in no rush to arrive at the hotel. Looking at the address I remember a old friend who lives here and I suddenly get the urge to check this place out.

The hotel had a illuminated sign that read "sleeping💤" I open the door and I get rushed by that old friend from earlier.

"Dude we've literally been handing in complaints for the past week. What the hell? Get your ass upstairs" he says. He looks exhausted, I can tell he hasn't slept since he handed in that complaint.

"Arrow let me handle this" this young lady coming out a elevator says. She clears her throat "get the fuck up their right now. Do you not hear that noise?"

I listen closely and the sounds of vases dropping and cabinets being thrown around hit me.

"Please...... I haven't slept in days" arrow pleads. "You have to go up their"

I nod which indicates arrow to lead me to the room. The waits for me in the elevator. I walk in and the awkward train hits both of us. The entire way up to the room we avoid eye contact, probably for the best because I've wanted to pin him against a wall for the past 10 minutes.

The elevator opens and I miss my chance to do that. He tip toes in rainbow socks to the room in the very back. The noise gets louder and louder as we approach. And suddenly it stops. Silence.

Arrow stops. "Somethings not right. Something is not right! Benson, I know this isn't okay! You have to-"

A sound so loud cut him off. Loud and out of no where. But I couldn't tell which was louder the sound or the screaming from the first floor.

Arrow sunk to the ground. He looked at the wall in terror. But I couldn't wait for him. I ran down the stairs that were located on the other side of the hallway. I almost tripped a couple of times but I realized what was happening.

After 20 flights of stairs I arrived at the lobby. There was police and the hotel manager stood in front of a camera and news cast. I creeped around the occupied crowd. I slowly walked to what was being surrounded. The cops had there hands over their mouths and facial expressions that were indescribable. I picked up the pace and started to make my way over to the cops. A cop here and there tried to keep me back but I kept moving.

And I should have stopped. I slowly looked over the shoulder of the cops, they were blocking the view but I knew what it was.

A mutilated body.

~if you made it to the bottom thank you sm!! This my first story and I'm having a ball making it. I guess you could say this story is inspired by the Telltale game "The Wolf Among Us" (especially the name heheh) which was an amazing game that I loved and I will replay any day. I incorporated some things in the game into this so yeah c: I hope y'all like this book as much as I do! Have an amazing day.
