Vanessa Hudgens as Serena Greene

Serena's POV

Oh I'm tryin', I'm tryin', I'm tryin'
I'm tryin', I'm tryin'
Oh tryin', I'm tryin', I'm tryin'
I'm tryin', I'm tryin'
Not to give in to you
No, no, no, no
Not to give in to you

With my feelings on fire
Guess I'm a bad liar

"Argh, just five more minutes" I mumbled in my half asleep state.

"That's what you said like oh I dont know five minutes ago?" My older sister Sadie said.

"Well looks like another five minutes will do me good"

"Yeah you're probably right you need to fix something with that face of yours" She laughs to herself

I throw a pillow at her which she so swiftly dodges "Ha! You missed!"

"That's because I'm half awake right now you dummy"

"Yeah whatever just get up already. Just saying you got 30 minutes!" She says as she closes the door behind her.

I flip the duvet over on the other side and slide out. There's really no point on making my bed when it's gonna be a mess again. And just saying I only make my bed and when I want to or forced.

I go and take a shower since I forgot to take one last night. After I finished I blow dry and straighten my hair. Gotta tame the beast!

"HURRY UP!" Sadie yells

"Hold on!"

I grab a pair of light washed jeans, a pastel purple cropped sweater. I tie my hair up into a messy bun and I head downstairs.

"God you take forever" She says as she applies on a red coloured lipstick.

"Hey! That all took 30 minutes for me to get ready. You know how usually I am" I grab an green apple because green apples are bless and take a bite out of it.

"Yeah whatever I need to go don't wanna be late"

"You know it'd be better if you let me get a car!" I plead

"Not a chance"

"There's no point on arguing anymore" I say as I put on my pair of Jordans. You gotta look fresh when you're heading out no matter where you go.

"You're correct on that point"

We exit the house and leave.

Incase you're wondering,

"Hey where are the parents?"

Well, my mom left me when I was around 3 years old and I've never seen her since. She sends postcards here and there, but I don't remember her face. And my dad. He died last year from a head on collision. It was a surprise to me, but mostly to Sadie considering she was in the car with him...she is now my legal guardian since she is 20 years old and is old enough to take care of me, so I won't be taken away to some foster place.

"Thanks for the ride Sades and I'll be at Nia's house afterschool so don't bother picking me up after Uni"

"Alright cool don't be out so late"

"Got it" and she speeds off.

I enter in the building of Bridge Wood High. One the city's most cliché school to be. You got the hipsters, the stoners, your music theatre group, your school council and don't forget the popular.
