Alex-

"Harry, stop eating the cake." I speak, shoving a number one candle right in the middle of the personal sized pink cake. The cake for all our party guests sits in the fridge, with Ebony's name iced across the top.

"It's just the frosting." Harry retaliates, and I laugh softly as he takes a bit more off of the cake, sucking it off his finger.

All our friends and family members are out in our living room, and we can hear their chatter from in here where we prepare Ebony's birthday cake.

"I can't believe our baby girl is one, babe."

I look over to Harry, and smile happily when he says this to me.

"Get yourself prepared for teenaged boys showing up at our house." I tell him just to get under his skin, and he instantly shakes his head.

"No. She can't date until she's married." He tells me, and that make me look up to him with an amused laugh.

"That doesn't make any sense but alright." I decide to just agree with him.

"This little girl out here is getting impatient for her cake." Eleanor's head pops into the kitchen door, her brown, curled hair swaying.

"Okay, we're done." I inform her, and Harry lifts the cake off the counter after I light the candle to begin carrying it out.

Everyone breaks into singing happy birthday when we emerge from the kitchen, and Ebony's little face breaks into a smile as she sees us. When Harry sets the cake in front of her, her hand instantly digs into the bright frosting, light green eyes excited and happy.

"Ebony, blow out the candle baby girl." Harry tells her this, but she's too immersed in tearing apart her cake to care. So Harry and I blow it out together, everyone clapping.

Ebony lets out an excited shriek, and Harry and I stand back and watch her as she turns her face pink. Eleanor brought out the adult cake for me, and began cutting it for everyone to have a piece. Louis holds little Cole on his hip, the blue eyed baby kicking his arms and hands, making his father smile widely.

"Would you look at that! She's got a pink face!" Niall approaches me, and makes me look to Ebony once again at his words. And he's right. Most of the cake is on her highchair or on her face.

Harrys arms wrap around my waist, and we stand and watch until Ebony's cake is completely smeared across everything around her. Harry had taken his phone out and took some pictures as we stood together, laughing and smiling to himself as he watched her.

"Take one of us, yeah?" He hands Niall his phone, and we both get on either side of Ebony.

After Niall snaps the picture, Ebony reaches up to Harry in interest, getting pink frosting in his hair and on his cheek.

"Ah, you little nugget." He scolds her, and picks her up from the highchair with strong arms, pink hands happily patting at his face as she squealed nothing's to him.

"Now get your mommy!" He hands me Ebony without warning, and I laugh but sigh as she runs her hands down the side of my face.

"Your daddy is a meanie, lets go get you cleaned up." I put her on my hip, and walk across the house to go to Ebony's nursery, speaking to Harrys family members along the way.
