Once upon a time,
There was a a girl named Alice.
She fell into another world,
That laid inside her mind.

... or at least that's what we know ...

Alice pondered through the garden,
And sang a tune with every step.
She stared intently at every flower,
And counted each petal with every breath

She let her imagination roam free,
As she glanced at the world from up top her tree
Her sister grew weary and left for home,
But Alice stayed at the garden alone

As she looked into the trees,
She saw the leaves shift with the breeze
The crisp wind cut through the summer warmth,
And brought upon an uncomfortable chill

A colorful object shifted through the bushes,
And darted towards an army of trees.
Still uncertain of what it was,
Alice followed it through the woods.

Struggling to keep up, Alice slipped and fell
She fell and fell, without an end.
And when she thought it was finally over
It turned out to be yet another bend

She fell into a world of color and charm
A world built up from pure illusion
A place that carried a slight hint of fears
A  place where nothing was normal, and everyone was at harm

As the walls caved in, and the sights grew worse
Alice wished there was a way to put life in reserve
But little did she know, it wasn't a dream
For Alice was becoming a part of the scene
