Nathan holds my hand as we walk up the stairs and I smile contently, everything seems so perfect right now. I squeeze Nathan’s hand briefly and he kisses the top of my head.
“You’re not stealing her yet Nathan, sorry.” I hear Lauren say from behind us.
Nathan shakes his head and sighs. Just as we reach the top of the stairs, Lauren and the others come running up to us.
“Oh my god, are we ever going to get time to ourselves?” I ask with a sigh.
“Well, you obviously don’t know me very well if you think I’m just going to let you hang out with Nathan the whole time.” She replies with a smirk.
Danica yanks my hand out of Nathan's and he just shakes his head again. I look at Danica and she grins at me.
"It's Ok beautiful, we will be together soon." Nathan says quietly while kissing me on the cheek.
"I really hope so." I respond through a sigh.
He laughs and walks back down the stairs to go meet up with his bestfriend, Shane.
“You guys are ridiculous.” I mutter under my breath while walking inside the hall.
I can hear Lauren start to laugh with Danica but I ignore them and continue to walk through the hall. It looks amazing in here, so many decorative lights and a massive disco ball hanging above a dance floor.
“Wow.” I whisper.
“I know, how good is it?” Lilly exclaims from next to me.
I jump suddenly and hold my hand to my chest.
“Damn Lilly! You scared me!” I exclaim while lightly smacking her arm.
She smirks at me and I roll my eyes with a smile. Lauren, Danica and Abby walk up to us with grins on their faces.
“It looks bloody epic in here.” Abby says in amazement.
“I totally agree.” Danica says while looking up at the disco ball.
We stand there for a few more minutes, just looking around at the room before Abby takes a couple of steps forward and glares at us all.
“Ok, what are we all doing just standing here? Let’s go dance!” she squeals while pulling mine and Lilly’s hand.
We all start to laugh and as we reach the dance floor we recognise some people from school. I look around at my friends and I get this warm feeling come over me. I have the best friends in the world, they mean so much to me and they are the best people to talk to. I smile again and Lauren looks at me suspiciously.
“What are you smiling about?” she asks while coming to stand with me.
“Oh nothing.” I answer innocently.
“You know you can’t lie to me, now what are you smiling about?” she demands with a smirk.
I roll my eyes and laugh quietly. “Well I was just thinking that I had pretty awesome friends.” I say sheepishly.
“Aww, that’s cute! You’re pretty awesome yourself.” She says with a grin.
I wrap my arms around her shoulders and she wraps hers around my torso. She lets go of me and winks, well she tries to but she fails. I start to laugh hysterically at her and she goes red.
“Shut up!” she moans.
That makes me laugh harder and eventually the girls come over to us.
“What are you laughing about?” Abby asks suspiciously.
