• THE NERD •

"Danny, Steph! Get your butts down here before I leave you guys to walk!" I yelled with a smile on my face. I watched as my sister came downstairs in a crop top and extremely ripped shorts.

"Que es eso? Vete para tu cuarto y cambia tu ropa! Go back and change now, you are not leaving the house with that little amount of clothes you have on! You have five minutes!" I yelled in a demanding tone.

I opened the front door and walked out to my car.

Yeah, you must be thinking isn't he a sophomore? He can't drive yet.

See, now that's where your wrong. As long as I have a fake driving permit all is good, all is good.

I came to the realization that today will be the first day everyone see's me walk in with my twin brother.

What will they think of him? What will they think of me? Will he get more popular than me? Is he better looking?

I brought my Mustang to life, the sound of the engine roaring was so beautiful. The unfortunate part is that I have to somewhat share the car with my brother since it was an "early birthday gift" for the both of us.

The other two eventually came down and Danny, of course, called shotgun while Steph was in the back texting away at her phone.

Gosh, what am I going to do with her? It's like she asking for the attention.

So are you, said a voice at the back of my head.

Yeah but for the right reasons. I said in a duh tone in my head.

The whole ride there Danny couldn't stop blabbering about his trip to Mexico and how he met girls and worked in my dads business over there. He came back shocking my parents with a tattoo on his back that said familia with a rose under it with its peddles falling off; in addition, he got a brow piercing and lip one.

The fact that they actually looked good on him was surprising. The fact that my dad didn't whiplash on him was surprisingly weird. I'll have to ask him about that one day.

We arrived to school five minutes later, I roamed through the parking lot and found an empty space. Until, a Mustang like mine pulled up and took the spot.

A very attractive girl stepped out and waved at us with an evil smirk and worded the mouth 'oops'.

Before I even realized what was happening Danny lowered the window and yelled at the brunette, "Aye mami, que chula eres? What's your number?"

"En tu suenos, pretty boy!" She yelled back and sashayed away with her two friends behind her.

What left the both of us shook, was that she knew Spanish. I eventually found a spot; farther away from the entrance, but it's still a spot. Once I parked, Steph was the first to bolt out. Danny and I ran towards her after seeing that she hadn't changed when I told her to. Her face was pampered with makeup; well not necessarily but it seemed like it.

"Adonde te vas princessa? Where to princess? What's wrong with you not listening to Carter when he said change!? When we get home later your sooo into trouble." Danny said in a serious tone.

"Don't think your bad ass just because you came from Mexico back with tattoos and piercings. Mom approved the outfit and that's all the confirmation I needed. That's the only way I'm going to fit in here, not look like the Virgin Mary! And you" she said directing to her attention to me, "you made a change to! So stop judging me! After I leave you guys, everyone will just be staring at you because of your major change. I thought you would like this change! Plus, it's just for today." She said the last part lower.

Gosh, she's always making me seem like an ass. Great job, pendejo.

I sighed in annoyance, "Fine, but if I see or hear about a guy laying a hand on you, don't think I won't beat his ass and tell dad you wore this today." I said with seriousness in my tone. Danny stood behind me agreeing to what I said.

"Ok, thanks so much! I love you losers!" Steph said, hugging us and leaving us at the entrance of the school.

"Estas listo para entrar? You ready to go in? Because I definitely am, I bet no one remembers me. Right?" Danny asked with amusement in his voice.

"Yeah, everyone forgot about you. Sorry bro, I didn't mean to keep you forgotten. And yes, I'm definitely ready. Let's do this!" I said fist bumping his hand.

We walked up the steps to the front doors and swung the doors open.

Let the nerd come through.
