As Hazel entered the house,she marvelled at its beauty. It was kept so neat and tidy.
"Stop looking around,silly. Go now. Go upstairs and turn right. That's your room. Go take a shower and be down in half an hour. Dinner will be ready. "
Hazel ran up to her room and threw herself on the bed.Ahhh!finally a nice place to sleep in. She then went and checked the wardrobe and found some beautiful dresses. after taking a shower, she decided to change into one of them.
She ran downstairs to the dinning table and saw a whole feast spread out in front of her. Serah looked at Hazel in awe. "oh. I'm sorry Mrs. Salines I didn't ask you if you had a problem of me wearing any of those dresses" Hazel said, a little embarassed.
"It's fine. really!you remind me so much of my daughter. I haven't seen her in ages" replied Mrs. Salines "oh and please do call me Serah. "
As they sat down for dinner, hazel spoke
"so, do these dresses belong to you?"
"ohh no no. They belong to my daughter " serah replied
"ohh,How's your daughter like"
"well,she's really pretty"
"where's she now? "
"somewhere very unsafe. "
they ate in silence after that.
At night, Hazel went and sat outside on the porch. She saw this boy standing at the other end of the road, staring at her. She stared back at him and the boy turned away. "wierd" thought Hazel to herself and she drank her coffee.
after sometime,she saw the same boy staring at her again. This time he started walking towards her. Hazel got up and started walking towards him. Just then, he glanced past Hazel and started shaking and turned around and ran away.Hazel turned around and saw that Serah was standing behind her
"it's getting late. come in" Serah said
"just a minute" replied hazel.
She ran in the direction In which
the boy had ran.
she saw the boy crawled up against a wall. She went and put her hand on him. He shrugged and looked up. He was crying.
"who are you?" she asked.
"da-Daryll" the boy replied.
"why did you run away when you saw Serah?" she asked
Daryll winced when hazel took serah's name.
"that lady,she's wicked. She. ." he froze.
Serah,who was now standing behind Hazel,shot Daryll a warning look, and Daryll gulped down his fear and ran away.
"why does daryll act so strange around you?why does he. ..."
Hazel didn't get a chance to complete get sentence because Serah broke in in between.
"they're all mad,Hazel.lets go home. " she said rather calmly."You have a big day ahead of you tomorrow."
