Coming home from the holiday, my little sister traced raindrops down the window pain. My mum and aunt seemed perfectly normal , chatting away. Whereas me. Me. I looked completely abnormal compared to my family. My hair was messy and frizzy - I got that off my dad - and I had too bright red lipstick on - according to mum. I look the same as mum, I was told, but my hair is the colour of my dads. Then I saw our town. Empty, it's never like that.

Something big leaped past my window. Black. Furious. Outraged. My mother stopped the car in a jolt and the beast leapt over the whole car. It was the size of a horse, a donkey at the least.

As we drove into town, the villagers came out of their homes and started going back to normal. "What was that" Liv asked.
"I'm not sure sweetie, it was probably just that Yuen boy playing a prank." Mother spoke with uncertainty in her voice, like she suspected what it was. Probably.
