Chapter 5

Leo's POV

I tossed and turned in my small bed, unable to let sleep over take me no matter how hard I tried. Something just wasn't right and I could feel it.. but I don't know what.  I stared blankly at the ceiling as I tried to figure out the feeling in the pit of my stomach that wouldn't let me sleep but I came up blank. I just wanna forget about tonight surprisingly.. that.. kiss just didn't feel right at the time..letting out a pained sigh and shut my eyes, finally relaxing enough to fall asleep. don't hate me Raph..

Raph's POV

hours.. Hours have passed and my vision is going in and out of focus. I'm trying to keep my eyes open and yeah I know.. I could easily pull her blade out from my shoulder and head back to Donnie for help..but I can't head back home to Leo and remember that horrid image.

As the time passed and the warm crimson fluid spilled down my Now limp arm as the color drained from my body, feeling the blood pool around me. By this time I saw the sky turning from a dark blue to a light purple blue as the night turned to morning. "Can't I just die already..." was all I could get out of my lungs till my the fatigue came over me and my eyes finally shut, thinking I would open them again and everything would be okay.. but I also wished I didn't open them again.

Leo's POV

-5:36 am

My alarm went off and I counted the 4 hours of sleep I got which wasn't that bad compared to some of my other sleepless nights. I flicked on my space hero's lamp on my bed side table and rubbed my eyes at the sudden bright light. That feeling in my stomach had gotten worse and I was now thinking it was something I ate..or her nasty lipstick.. sitting up and rubbing my neck before stretching, getting up and heading to the kitchen.

-6:30am

Donnie was up making his coffee like normal, no cream and it must have extra caffeine. Of course Mikey and Raph aren't up yet since training starts at 8 but me and Donnie are the early birds.

-7:30 am

Mikey was up but no Raph and his alarm went off at 7:45 but I figured I should let him sleep and everyone knows that if you try and wake him up, you will get socked in the face.

-8:00am

Anxiously I bit my lip as we kneeled in the dojo.. well 3 of us were while master splinter. "Where is Raphael.." he stroked his beard and waited for an explanation. "In bed I assume sensei.." I stated.

"Go wake him or atleast see if he is alright.." splinter said with a troubled sigh. "Yes sensei.." I stood up and made my way to Raphs room and knocked out of respect. "Raph? Raph are you feeling alright? You slept through your alarm.." I said over the beeping of his alarm clock.

-8:05 am

"Sensei! Raphs not in his room." I ran into the dojo and startled the others. "What?" Splinter stood and walked to me. "Raphs gone he's no where! I looked all in his room and the bathroom and-!" I was talking too fast for everyone to handle and Donnie placed a hand on my shoulder.

"He had one of his tantrums again and he could have left but the last time that happened he was always home before any of us were up." Mikey butted into the conversation which made me rethink last night.. the whimper.. that whimper that was full of sorrow..

Splinter sighed and looked down. "Go out and look for him.. I fear something has happened to him." His statement make me think the worse but I tried to keep that out of my head as the others headed out of the lair.

-10:30 am

"We've looks everywhere!"  I punched an air conditioning unit in frustration but in fear as well. "Well maybe he followed you last night.. where were you he could have been at the building you were at." Donnie stated with a sense of anxiousness.  I soon coughed up my secret and showed him where I want as last night. "Alright, split up and search the area." Before I finished my sentence I was already gone, staying out of sight from people as I searched up and down the city.

-11:00 am

"Anything Donnie?" I jogged over to him and panted, hoping for some good news. "No.. I can't get a signal from his T-phone but-" he was cut off from my T-phone going off and seeing mikeys contact on the screen. "Yeah mike?"

"I found him! I found him! He's in the abandoned warehouse on 12th!" Mikey's Voice was filled with panic and his was trying to catch his breath. "There's blood on him!!he's not moving! I don't know what to do, get Donnie here!!"  Soon the sobs from him could be heard, making my knees weak once he said blood was everywhere and on him. "Alright where coming mike!" I managed to get out and gave Donnie that look of horror and anxiety as he headed for the warehouse.

Once we entered Mikey's sobs echoed in the empty space. Turning the corner I stopped, my heart in my throats and my knees almost fell out from under me. Slouched forward against the wall was Raph.. a pool of blood around him and a familiar tanto in his left shoulder. Donnie was stoped too and covered his mouth in shock before running over once he saw Mikey trembling on his knees with blood on his hands and tears streaming down his cheeks.

I couldn't move and my ears started to ring. no... no not know I.. I need to help..  fighting back the urge to pass out as tears filled my eyes as I stumbled close to the pale limp body of my brother.. "Raph.. Raph no Raph!" I found myself on my knees as Donnie ran to Raphs side and felt around his neck frantically. "He's alive! He barely has a pulse!" Donnie said with a glimpse of hope in his eyes as he pulled the tanto out of his shoulder and it clanged onto the floor. The familiar symbol of the foot clan was printed on the handle, now I was pissed.. -she promised to leave my family out of this and I trusted her!?

"Leo!" Donnie snapped me out of my trance with Raphs limp head in his lap, looking at me for help. Before I knew it he was in my arms, weak and helpless as he ran through the sewers back to the lair. he was ambushed... but he would have easily taken them down..he was already weakened; vulnerable when they ambushed him.. it wasn't a fair fight what so every..

"Stay with me Raph.. I need you to stay with me.. I can't lose you..."  I whispered under my breath that if he was conscious he could only hear me. "I need you to stay with me Raph.. stay with me.."
