The evening sunlight began to penetrate the blinds along with a light breeze through the latched window. The presence of the natural light illuminating Jihoon's pale complexion as he slept.
Soonyoung's heart skipped a beat at the sight of his sleeping dongsaeng on the bed parallel to his own. Lee Jihoon looked ethereal in the evening sunlight. His dark hair messy, gently falling onto his forehead; chapped lips slightly parted. The blankets covering his legs half on the floor, leaving his milky torso bare.
Soonyoung glanced at the clock, trying to distract himself and slow down his ever escalating heartbeat in the process. However, Soonyoung's attempts were futile; no matter how hard the elder tried his gaze always returned to his sleeping dongsaeng.
He observed carefully as Jihoon's chest rose and fell with every shallow breath he took, it enthralled the younger
Soonyoung knew Jihoon was a heavy sleeper. He could sleep through a lot of things, including but not limited to Mingyu and Wonwoo getting it on in the next room which had caused Soonyoung lack of sleep many a night.
Because of his tendency to sleep for extended periods of time, many veiwed Jihoon as a lethargic person. But never Soonyoung. He didn't know why Jihoon slept so much but he was sure Jihoon must have his reasons so he left it at that.
But by no means did that mean his sleeping habits didn't worry the dancer. When Jihoon was like this, Soonyoung refused to leave the youngers side incase something happened to him when he was at his weakest.
Soonyoung was abruptly snapped out of his trance like state by the sound of a tentative knock at the door.
"Who is it?" Soonyoung inquired, it would've come off stone cold if it weren't for that one little voice crack.
"Jeonghan, can I come in?" His eldest hyung asked from the other side of the door, his voice softer and more comforting than usual.
"Of course hyung." Jeonghan entered the room that would've been completely silent if not for the outside noise that came through the open window.
"Still asleep?" Jeonghan sat himself beside Soonyoung on the bed.
Soonyoung meekly nodded in response. Jeonghan noticed the unshed tears in the youngers eyes as he kept his gaze firmly on the sleeping boy. Jeonghan decided it best not to inquire any further about Jihoon, instead asking about Soonyoung himself.
"Are you okay?" Jeonghan asked, carefully placing his hand on Soonyoung's trembling shoulder. It was a stupid question really and Jeonghan knew it; anyone could see Soonyoung was in pain.
"N- Ne." Soonyoung stuttered.
"No you aren't." Jeonghan gently wrapped his arms around Soonyoung.
Jeonghan could hear Soonyoung's shaky breaths as the younger buried his head into his chest. He knew if he said anything more about Jihoon or even Soonyoung himself, the boy would start to cry. He always was a sensitive kid and Jeonghan hated to see Soonyoung like this. However hard Soonyoung tried to hide behind his facade, there was always a point where it just became overwhelmingly too much for him.
"Soonie, you haven't eaten a thing all day. Please come and eat dinner with us. Jihoon will be fine in here, we'll only be down the hall."
Soonyoung lifted his head, briefly looking at Jeonghan but before long his gaze had returned to Jihoon.
"Okay." Soonyoung sighed in response. Jeonghan led the younger out of the bedroom by the hand, Soonyoung's eyes wide with concern; his stare not leaving Jihoon until the door shut behind them.
