I clean off the table to make room the box of bandages. I haul it up and place it on the table . I grab the scissors and go the cut off a part of the bandage when I hear a very familiar voice.
"Lee, did you see my shirt?" the voice has a thick accent. I turn around to see a teenage boy with dirty blonde hair and brown eyes standing in the doorway shirtless, staring at me. Seeing him shirtless is normal, we're roommates but today is different. My heart seems to leap , a feeling I am not used to. I try to ignore this feeling.
"Newt you left it on your bed, I think."
He walks over to his a finds it lying there.
"Thanks Lee." He hugs me from behind making that strange feeling return.
Before he pulls away he spots the cut on my arm.
"What happened? " he asks .
"Oh it's nothing. I just cut it using the bandage scissors. "
Newt takes the scissors and bandages out of my hands and starts to wrap my wound.
"You're a Med-Jack and you still can't use a bloody scissors." He jokes.
"I can it's just...."
"You need Newtie here to bloody do it for you. " he laughs.
I give him my best don't get that idea in your head face but he just laughs and rustles my hair.
"See ya later Lee." and he's gone.
And no. Before you ask we are NOT a thing. Everyone thinks that we are.Minho even gave us a ship name. Namelia. He's just my best friend. And somehow that's hard to say. My best friend. I love him being my best friend. Nothing more nothing less. Wait do I want more. I want more. I . Want. More. I am in love with Newt. No. No way. I am just jumping to conclusions. But how am I even jumping to this conclusion anyway. I am so confused!!!!!
I leave our room and chase after Newt. This time his shirt is on. (unfortunately. wait what am I saying!!!!)
"What's up?" He asks straight away.
"Nothing." I reply.
He looks at me not believing a word. He knows everything about me. There's no use in lying. But I will try. I take his hand and drag him over to my tree.
"What do I look like?" I ask.
"You ask that bloody question every day."
"I know but it changes all the time." I put on my best puppy dog face.
"You're so bloody cute doing that face." He sighs. He brushes the loose hair off my face and begins.
"You have gorgeous blue eyes and light brown hair which is wavy. Your skin is pale but you have freckles across the bridge of your nose. You have a beautiful smile which is so bloody cute. You look around 16 and you are tiny. And finally you are so bloody beautiful. That bit never changes." He smiles.
I reach up on my tiptoes and kiss him on the cheek.
"Thank you." I start walking away. Newt follows a bit later.
NEWT POV
"What's up?" I ask instantaneously. She is acting strange. I can tell.
"Nothing." Amelia replies. She's lying. I can tell. She can't maintain eye contact with me when she is lying.
She takes my hand and drags me over to her tree.
"What do I look like?" she asks.
"You ask that bloody question every day." Honestly, I don't mind. I love when she asks me it. I change my answer every day so she will always come back.
" I know but it changes all the time." She puts on her best puppy dog face , I can't say no.
"You're so bloody cute doing that doing that face." I sigh. I brush the loose hair off her face and begin.
"You have gorgeous blue eyes and light brown hair which is wavy. Your skin is pale but you have freckles across the bridge of your nose. "Thank you." she starts walking away. I can't help but stare. I love that girl so bloody much. I have loved her ever since she first got here , Minho always teases me about it. Now she needs me to be her best friend and as long as I get to see her every day , that's good enough for me.
I follow her .
