The Announcement

After Shawn & Brittany came home from their hotel stay, they immediately called their parents to let them know that they were gonna renew their wedding vows on their anniversary. Both sets of parents were thrilled & Shawn's mother, Kim actually cried. Shawn knew good word traveled fast so he decided to call a meeting with his siblings at his house to tell them the good news. Everyone came in a timely fashion... Expect Gerald.
"Where are you, G Man?" Shawn impatiently asked. "All the siblings are here except your late ass!"
"I'm around the corner, bro! I promise I am! Just had to pick up some food before I came."
"Pussy doesn't count as food."
Gerald laughed.
"I'm good on that for now, asshole. Just have the door unlocked when I come."
"Fine. See you in a bit."
They hung up the phone & Shawn sighed.
"Yall's little brother is coming soon but if he doesn't hurry the fuck up, I'm gonna tell the announcement."
But Shawn's words fell on deaf ears. Gary was memorizing his dance moves for an upcoming performance. Chris was on his laptop getting ready for his radio show. Gordan hadn't told anyone about the situation with Shavonda & Brandon yet so he was deep in his own world. Brittney was sitting at the kitchen counter smiling & thinking of Jason.
"Tough crowd today, babe." said Brittany, with her arms around his waist.
"Apparently so." Shawn said quietly.
Finally, Gerald comes into the upstairs living room smacking his lips with a Fatbuger bag. Shawn rolled his eyes but was relieved that he can tell everyone the good news.
"Okay! Gerald Morris Williams is here, seven years later! Can we have your attention, Williams family??"
Everyone stopped what they were doing to pay attention to Shawn & Brittany. They walked to the front of the living room & began to talk.
"Okay. So you guys already know Brittany & I have been married for 14 going on 15 years now. & instead of going for the typical anniversary dinner.....we decided to renew our vows & have a full wedding."
Brittney screamed.
"YAAAAAASSSS!!! Black love all day!! I cannot wait for this!!"
She ran to hug Shawn & Brittany along with her brothers & started to dance.
"Girl, this isn't even your wedding. Why are you so geeked for this?" asked Gordan.
"Because she wants to fight a bitch for the bouquet so she can drag Jason down the aisle." Chris replied.
Everyone laughed, including Brittney.
"Nah. No wedding for me yet but you guys! We have a wedding to get ready for! Do y'all know where you want to have everything?"
Brittany shook her head.
"Not yet, sis. But we have about a month to plan it all. So that means groomsmen, bridesmaids, rehearsals....the whole nine."
"Not so bachelor party planning time for us! Hell, Shawn didn't want a stripper for his first one. So we sat around, ate & drank." Gary said, glaring at Shawn.
"Damn right, I didn't. All the woman I needed was right here. & Brittany didn't have male stripper come to see her, right baby?"
Brittany coughed & Brittney started to laugh.
Sucking his teeth, Shawn looked at his wife with an attitude.
"You had a nigga shaking his cash register dick at you? & we promised each other no strippers! Sleazy mfs..."
Then, Shawn heard Gary clear his throat loudly.
"My bad, Gary. But you know what I mean."
Brittany smiled her signature sweet smile that never failed to melt Shawn's mood.
"I'm sorry, baby. My sister did that without my knowledge. I'll tell you what. You can have your not so bachelor party since I had my bachlorette party. Deal?"
"DEAL!" yelled all four Williams brothers.
Shawn scrunched up his face to hide his own smile but he knew Brittany won.
"You better be lucky I love you."
Shawn grabbed his wife's face for a kiss & everyone started to cheer.
"So with that kiss, it's official. We got ourselves another wedding!" Chris excitedly said.
He began to blast Jagged Edge's "Let's Get Married" remix on his computer & everyone began to dance around the room as a family.
