"Who are you?" I asked, pinning the fragile girl against the wall of my castle. So pathetic and weak she was. A human girl dares to enter my castle. I'll kill her, I think.

She trembles beneath my grip on both her wrists, "I mean no harm. I promise.." "Who are you? Why did you come here?"

I tightened my grip on her wrists, she makes a hurt noise, "I-I don't know how I ended up here. I-I was wondering if you can help me figure that out."

She quickly answered. What in dark magick is this human girl doing here? But most of all, how did she end up here? "What's your name human?" "V-Vorena." She answered nervously.

"Who sent you?!"

"Nobody, I don't know what you are talking about."

I bared my sharpened fangs at her, but at the sight of them she fainted. I didn't bother to catch her, instead I let her fall to the ground; not caring if she hurts herself. Damn, such a pain in my ass, I wanted to kill her already; but I had to find out more information on how she got here.

"Melony!" I shouted. The maiden came out of the kitchen, "Yes my lord?" "See to it that this...girl...is taken care of. I want to know when she wakes." Melony nodded and I left, not wanting to smell that human anymore.

How was it possible for a human girl to come here to Vortex? There are no opened portals laying around for her to use...she couldn't have teleported here, she's a mere mortal. How else did she end up here? But most of all, did someone send her here purposely?

I paced around my room as thoughts raced through my mind. My throat ached, I needed blood, I haven't fed for days and it was starting to catch up to me. I needed to go hunting once more, if I found a good meal, it will keep me fed for a few days. But I needed to hunt before the full moon, I needed more strength stored up. During the full moon, my powers will be more powerful, but that also means so will my enemies, and they will come for me.

It's not like they can kill me though, I am way to powerful for them, even without the full moon I can destroy them without breaking a sweat. All it takes is one thought, if I really wanted too. A knock at the door interrupted my thoughts, I looked at the door as I said "You can come in Melony."

The door opened and in Melony came, "Forgive me my lord, I do not mean to bug you but the young maiden is awake." "Where is she?" "In the kitchen my lord. I offered her some food, she is frighten my lord." "I would be too if I was her." I replied. "You can leave now." Melony bowed then left.

I as well, headed downstairs to the kichen, where I found Vorena eating wild berries. Once she seen me, she dropped the berries she had in her hand and started backing away.

"Y-you.."

"What? You thought I was just going to disappear?" I asked walking slowly to her. She didnt answer, instead she picked up a kitchen knife and pointed it at me.

"Stay away or I'll cut you." "Do you know that I have the power to end your life with a single thought?" I said already wanting to kill her. "No...I did not know that." "Now you do." I inched closer to her, wanting her to stab me, so I can easily rip her throat out.

Vorena looked into my eyes, allowing me to read her thoughts, I smirked and said "There is no way of escaping. You're my prisoner now."

Her face went completely pale. "W-what?" "Not until you answer my questions..then I'll think about helping you." Vorena dropped the knife and said "Okay. I'll try and answer your questions." She sat down at the counter chair, but hunched over and rested her chin on her palm.

Good, she is willing to coorperate, but if she tries anything she is dead.

"How old are you?"

"Twenty-four." She answered quickly.

"Where were you before you ended up here?"

Vorena swallowed hard once I asked that question.

"I was coming home from work, but I decided to walk home since my house isn't far from my work. I crossed the street and..." She didn't finish, instead she got lost in thought.

"And...?"

"All I remeber is that I suddenly stopped in the middle of street because my head started hurting me really bad. Then it goes fuzzy, and next thing I know it, someone tackles me and we both fall but instead of hitting the ground; we seemed to fall into a bluish black hole and I passed out. Then I wake up here." Vorena explained.

I looked at her eyes, as soon as we made eye contact I felt my eyes turn white, she gasped in fear. But she couldn't look away from my eyes, as soon as I connect to her soul, I used my powers to go through her memories.

Vorena groaned in pain, her eyes watered, her breathe quickened; I searched through her memories for that night.

When she cried out I knew I got the right one, I relived the memory as if it were my own, I saw everything but couldn't make out the persons face. I blinked to break the connect, she gasped, "Why did you do that?!"

"Watch your tone. I located your memories."

"It hurt bad, like someone was scratching my mind." She shivered at the thought. I allowed my eyes to go back to normal in frusteration, "You're not leaving. You are going to be my prisoner until I find out who tackled you..."

"what!?!?" I waved my hand over face, she fainted and fell to the ground again, "Melony!" She popped out.

"Take her to a cell. Now." I left without another word, my body filled with rage.
