My name is Lauren, and I'm 23. I'm from England and am also a tattoo model. I travel back and forth between the US, more specifically California, and England to do my photo shoots.
I don't spend much time with family and value it as much as I can. I like tattoos, obviously, and kind of like to workout........ a lot. That's besides the point though. I don't really listen to rock music, but when I do I think it's pretty good. I also value my friends that I have, they are friends with me for me. And I just in general love being around loved ones.
As of right now, I'm packing for a trip to California to do another photo shoot and am booking my flight and reserving my hotel room. I love my job, but sometimes it's stressful when my manager doesn't help with the booking like she should.
As far as my personality goes, I'm a pretty relaxed person and am easy to get along with, but don't get me wrong, I'm not afraid to throw up my fists if I have to.
I've had a lot of ups and downs in my life, and a few years ago is when my life finally started looking up. I wasn't necessarily bullied, but I was picked on and had some supposed friends stab me in the back. But at this point, I've learned from that experience and I've grown as a person. I don't regret the things I've done, I only look at them as learning points.
-------------------- next day ------------------------
I hail down a taxi cab in LA to get to my hotel. Finally after my third try one stops, I put my bags in the trunk and hop in the back seat. I immediately text my manager and tell her that I just arrived in LA and am on my way to the hotel. After I unpack everything I am supposed to go meet the photographer and see what their views for this one are. I always like this part because I get to see what everything is supposed to look like and if there's going to be someone else there I'm going to be with.
The taxi finally pulls up to my hotel and I hand him some money along with a few dollar tip. I grab my things from the trunk and make my way into the hotel and make sure my room is still reserved. Once I got the room card I took the elevator getting some cat calls and questing glances, and all I did was just smile and wave.
The room was beautiful, the walls were a soft grey and the bed was a dark, but subtle, green. I sat my bags by the dresser and decided to set my toiletries and stuff in the bathroom and change out of my flight clothes. I changed into a white spaghetti strap tank top that was a little showy but it's not too bad, and a pair of black skinny jeans that looked leather. Then I did my makeup and put on some black stilettos.
On my way to meeting up with the photographer my manager sent me text.
Kayleigh- So I'm not sure if this person is here to double up with you in your shoot or if they are here for another one, but there's a man here that is talking to the same photographer..
Me- Ok I should be there shortly xoxo
I put my phone in my purse and started digging some money out for the taxi driver. Paid him the money and walked out to the building. When I walked inside all I saw were walls covered in men and women, old and young, all of them tatted and obviously have names for themselves here.
As I was scanning the walls and just looking at all of the people in the pictures, I accidentally bumped into someone.
"Oh excuse me, I'm so sorry." I said, my accent coming off thick.
I scanned his shirt over quickly and found a name tag. Jeff was his name.
"Actually, before you walk away," I said catching attention, "I'm here to meet a photographer for a photo shoot I'm doing over the course of the week, and I was wondering if you knew how or where I could meet him or her?" I asked unsure.
