I take out the cream of wheat and everything I need to make it. This is the best breakfast ever, forget the pancakes, eggs, and bacon.(well..
Maybe not the bacon). My ideal breakfast is cream of wheat with a side of chocolate milk. Yummy

I walk over to her and stare at her until she looks up from her phone

"What do you want child?" She says

I give her a smirk "what's that look"? She asks

"You know that this look is grandma. I want details! You like him don't you?!" I tease. I lean my chair back waiting for her answer

"Rayven put the chair on all four legs. You're gonna fall"

" I'm not gonn-" as soon as I go to say "i'm not gonna fall"... I fall

"I told ya so" she says biting into her granola

Ignoring what she said I get back up, put the chair on all four legs, sit down , and stare at her til she notices me again

"What child? Go back to bed" she says

"So you like him? Have you went on a date yet? Omg!!! How long have you had a boyfriend?!"

"Rayven Jesus how do you go from me liking him to him being my boyfriend in under a second?"

I shrug "sooooo"

She sighs "yes Christian and i have been.... hanging around with each other a lot. But it's not big deal"

"Oh it's such a big deal!" I get up and start making  my breakfast

"Listen.... rayven. I know that dating your mom's old doctor might be weird for you...if you feel uncomfortable I'll completely understand and I'll stop talking to him"

I stop stirring the cream of wheat and look at her

"Why would I feel uncomfortable with you dating a hot doctor? It's fine grandma. Go be happy" I say turning back to my porridge like breakfast

" I just thought.... so you're fine with this?"

"Hel-" I stop myself from saying "hell yeah" and quickly recover "of course. As long as you're happy, I'm happy." I turn of the stove and walk to my grandma to give her a hug

"I love you grandma"

"I love you to. Now go brush those teeth, your breath is knocking me down"

I touch my heart in mock hurt.

"You love my stinky breathe" I say and start to blow in her face

"Stop, stop!. It's so bad"

I laugh and stop blowing my bad breath on my grandma

I sit down with the creme of wheat and start pouring sugar in it so it can be delicious

My grandma takes out her computer and begins to work. Even on her days off she still finds time to work. She used to be a police investigator but gave that up when I was little. I asked why she no longer Worked there and she simply told me that she only wanted to find out answers for one more case...and since she did. She quit.

Now she works with car wrecks. She's the person they call to see who was at fault and what they should do.

She's never seemed happy with anything she's been doing. Work just drains her and makes her look older then what she is.

Hearing her laugh today was a good sound because she hasn't been laughing all that much. It started to get me wondering if my grandma was actually happy. She's not living life like she should be and I feel bad because she does what she does for me...but since I'm about to be 18 she'll be able to live her life without me in the house.
