I wake up to the sound of my grandma laughing. My grandma has this laugh that makes you laugh because it's so funny so without even knowing what's she's laughing at I chuckle.
Still with my hair all over my head and my pink panther onsie on I walk down stairs to see what's so funny. Yes I am a very nosy person.
My grandma was sitting on the couch with her hand on a man's and her head back in silent laughter. Whatever he said had to be hilarious because you only get the silent laugh from my grandma when it's overly funny.
"Good morning" I say my grandma and the man stop laughing
"Hi sweety. Good morning, did you brush your teeth"
I Hugh "grandma, you don't have to remind me about brushing my teeth anymore. I'm 17"
" I know how old you are but you forget that your morning breath is horri-"
"Grandmaaaa" I wine as she goes to talk about my bad morning breath in front of some stranger
She laughs but then points her thumb at the man " This is Christian goslawski"
He stands up and I take a minute to check him out....but not in a "you're hot"kind of way but more in a " you're a man who makes my grandmother laugh til it's silent and I want to know why" kind of way
He's Caucasian, hazel eyes, blonde hair, a beard that needs to be trimmed, and as soon as he stood up I could see he was around 6'4 or 6'5.
"Hello you must me rayven" he says sticking out his hand
I take a step back when he talks because I wasn't expecting his voice to be that deep.
He knew my name so that means my grandma talked about me. Imagine if my name wasn't rayven though...that would be so awkward for him.
I smile " yes sir" and shake his hand
"Please call me Christian" he sits down (a little closer to my grandma then expected) and stares at me for a second to long
"Pardon me for starring. You just look like ....Alia" I couldn't help but notice that small stumble he did right before he said my mother's name.
Why is it that when someone has passed people always comment on how much you looked like that person? Me personally, I don't see it. I've seen pictures. Of my mom and I can't see a resemblance....well besides the smile and the nose shape but other then that I don't look like her.
Her hair was so brown it was almost black and it was kinky , her eyes were dark brown, her skin was in-between light skin and dark skin... brown I guess I should say. Me? I'm the complete opposite?
I'm light skin, with natural big curls that are light brown with blonde in them, and hazel round eyes.
We don't look alike. My grandma never tells me I look like her (except when I smile) but she tells me I act like her
"You knew my mom?" I ask
He nods "I was her doctor" he says a little sadly
"Oh" I say
"Yeah... um I have to get going.it was nice meeting you rayven"
"Nice meeting you too si- I mean Christian"
My grandma stands up to walk him to the door. A few minutes later she comes back, smiles at me , and then walks towards the kitchen
"Oh no, grandma I want details. You can't just walk away" I say following her in the kitchen
"I have no idea what you're talking about" she says grabbing a granola bar and sitting at the table. I caught a small smile forming on her cherry colored lips
