Bang! I was in the midst of an extremely heated battle. Flashes of green, red, blue, yellow, or any color you would possibly think of was flashing in front of my eyes. The Death Eaters were no joke, even if they were teenage dropouts. They knew enough about magic and the dark arts to hold their own. Not to mention that they also knew how to take advantage of my weaknesses. Everything was happening so fast, processing it was difficult. I knew I was in a dark room full of Death Eaters who wanted me dead. I also knew that I was in a room full of teenagers who were my friends. I grew up with them. Now, I'm dodging their killing curse every five seconds.
"You're getting sloppy Jason," I mocked.
"Says you! It's two to one. You don't stand a chance," Jason remarked. Spells still flying from every angle, I noticed Jason starting to mutter a long and complicated hex. I recognized it as an incantation designed to prevent the victim from using any magic for a short period of time.
"You overestimate your own abilities Jason," I taunted, "while underestimating mine at the same time."
"Oh sure, the all mighty Danny here to defeat me," Jason taunted, "Sure." Jason had stopped his incantation and had to start over. It would give me enough time to counter his plan. I was still aware of Trevor, the other Death Eater, in the background.
"Lumos Maxima!" I screamed. The pitch black room suddenly lit up like fireworks on the Fourth of July. During these few seconds while my assailants were blinded, I used the confundus charm on Trevor and the stunning spell on Jason.
After the light faded, the lights in the room turned on. I had won the battle. I waited for both spells to wear off, Jason and Trevor quickly coming to. They knew I had won the battle and didn't put up much of a fight. The room was new revealed to be a house, which I already knew. But, I was surprised to see that nothing has broken. Somehow during our battle, we didn't hit anything. But after a few seconds, I knew better. A simple protection charm was placed on everything in the house to protect it from our crazy.
It was extremely hot in the room that we were in. I pulled up my sleeves to avoid the heat, revealing the dark mark on my arm. Jason challenged me to duels way too often. He wanted to prove that he is a more powerful wizard than me and therefore a better Death Eater. He couldn't stand the way that I lead our group. He preferred the way that Voldemort ran his, before the end of the Second Wizarding War. But I had a plan to prove that I was worthy.
"Everybody listen up! I have a plan to guarantee that we can stay in power," I explained.
"Oh right, sure," Jason remarked sarcastically. I just ignored him and continued explaining.
"It's called The Kiss of Death," I said. "It's a dark object that would give us the power of Dementors, and the ability to control them."
"Oh ya. And you know where this is too, right?" Jason again remarked sarcastically.
"No I don't, but I know something that does. However, we have to get it before the Ministry does," I explained. "I volunteer myself, since I'm the best at concealment charms and invisibility potions. I can get in and out without anybody noticing."
"Fine, go ahead," Jason said.
"It's not up to you," Trevor butted in. "You shouldn't be giving him permission Jason, since Danny won the duel. He still calls the shots."
"Thank you Trev," I said. "Now, I'll get going. I'll call if I need help."
