I woke up in the middle of the streets with torn clothes and blood all over my body. I wasnt scared though.  Nor was i surprised. More like, i had gotten used to it. Instead of usual thoughts like what had happened, or what i was to do now, my first thought was who had been the unlucky recipient of my daily attacks. But oh well, its not like i'll remember even if i do get worried. Not that i care, even. Why waste my precious time thinking about something that cannot be undone.

I get up and brush off all the dust from my dress. It was amazing how no one ever found me unconscious on the streets throughout the whole night. Amazing how none of the murder investigations ever led to me. Amazing how perfectly i carried out his will, even though i wasnt  in my right mind.

I reached home just a little before 10 am, as was told my by watch, if it was working correctly. But my apartment building was not how it used to be-neglected, murky, with no a soul around. Now it was crowded by at least 10 overly dressed men, one of them being the person i liked avoiding the most. A lawyer. Not an officer, or investigator. Just a lawyer, with hawk eyes and an ingenious mind - Aiden Anderson. As soon as i passed through the glass door, they parted for me to go through and open my door. A person approached me almost immediately, asking me about my torn clothes and all the blood visible on them. i had a lot of explaining to do, i thought.

But, of course, i never really did. i simply told them how my pet had died in an accident last night and i was mortified. In no state to talk. End of business. Good enough for me, since they seemed to buy it. All except one-the infamous lawyer. What was his problem seriously. I knew he had some problems with me, possibly suspecting me for something. But what was it to him? I never even did anything in this city. Though living in this rundown apartment, i had a lot of amount saved in my bank. It helped me travel. Move around the country or escape if i ever had my doubts about the place and the people. It seemed i would need to move again, due to a certain somebody, ugh. I really loved this place.

My stomach grumbled loud enough for people outside the door to hear. I blushed and quickly went to the washroom to search for the tablets. I had come to a point in my life where i could no longer survive without them. No matter what, i had had to take them. It gave me life, it gave me hope. I had already went off into the path of oblivion, there was no escape anymore. Might as well enjoy it, since i am going to hell anyways.

I didnt take more than one tablet now, though. Better eat something first.

The pizza i had ordered three days ago was still in the freezer, put it the oven once and it would be as fresh as new. Just the smell of it had me drooling all over it and right when i was to take the much awaited bite, the doorbell rang furiously, someone banging on the door like someone had died. Who would visit me so early in the morning??? I was so going to kill the imbecile.

i went to the door in the same clothes i had been wearing when i came in, my hair disheveled and a bloody mess. Whoever it was in the door would get a beating of their life, i thought as i opened the door, only to find the worst person possible for me to encounter again in the same day. I would have closed the door on his ugly face if it wasnt so dangerous. i couldnt have him suspect me, no matter what.

"Hello Ms Evelyn. You look devastated, dont you, considering you just lost your pet dog?" Lawyer Aiden asked with a mournful look on his face. What an actor! Well, i had to do my part too, now didnt i?

"Of course i look so-" I couldnt even finish the sentence before he made his comeback.

"For someone who never owned a pet, Ms Evelyn." He smiled. A crooked, evil smile that sent shivers down my spine.
