I didn't see the guy from the gym for a couple of weeks, but during that time I was getting along with everyone and seemed to do fine. I would stay after school for a little while waiting to see him at the gym but he would never show.
I wasn't till Monday of my third week, I was walking down the hallway and one of the guys from the football team stepped in front of me. "Well look at what we have here, a punk." He said folding his arms across his chest. All the boys that were behind him started to laugh. "Let me through" I said straying him in the eyes. "Why should I? Punk" he said looking back at the guys. I started to go around him but he grabbed my arm and pressed on it hard. "Let Me Go!" I shouted at him but his grip got tighter. "Aw what are you going to do little girl." he said leaning into my face. Oh that made me so mad I could feel the heat of anger rising to my face but before I could say anything someone said behind me "Let her go Bruce." Bruce let go of my arm and I turned around. It was the kid I saw In the gym, My heart began to race with excitement. He lightly touched my arm and nodded for me to go. so we began to walk away then Bruce pipped up "Oh you feel sorry for the little punk, shes worthless Scotty!" Bruce said marching behind us. Before I knew it the boy turned around and gave Bruce a punch in the face. Bruce fell to the floor holding his nose. "Nobody is worthless." the boy said to Bruce.
