It was a dark, yet peaceful night in their large and hidden Manor of the Horvath's. The Horvath sisters sat around a cozy fire enjoying each other's company. Vanessa Horvath, of average height, dark blond with pale skin and bright gray eyes, and oldest daughter of Elizabeth and Demetris Horvath, held her younger sister Cassandra, who was 7 years old, has light brown hair and gray eyes, in her arms. Both sisters waited for Vanessa's younger twin and Cassandra's old sister, Veronica to finish her book. Veronica looked at her book with a small candle light, which brightened her pale skin and her dark blond hair. As she read her book her green eyes lit up when she got to a part of her Novel, that she found in the library in her Manor.

All though Cassandra enjoyed the silence, she noticed a troubled look on Vanessa's face.

She spoke up. "Vanessa, sister why do you look so troubled?" she yawned. "Mama and Papa will be home soon, and when they return home all of your concerns will melt away."

Vanessa looked at her sister's tired and droopy eyes and said in a kind and warm voice

"My, dear and young sister I'm concerned because when I went to the Village of the West they said some very hurtful thing, but don't worry. It's fine." Vanessa looked at her younger sister and saw her sleeping. Vanessa placed her on the couch and put a blanket on her.

"Veronica, like I was saying, the village people said mother is a witch and father is a warlock. You know it's not the first time they have said this. I was thinking of asking Mom and Dad."

Veronica looked at her sister and exclaimed,

"Vanessa, I thought that by now, you would realize that the people in the Village of the West don't like us, ever since that so-called mayor walked in they call us the meanest of names, now please let me finish my book."

Vanessa, still unhappy with that answer mumbled,

"Sister I understand but... I wish mother and father would tell us why Mayor Lewis does not like us. Also, it's not like that book is going anywhere..."

Veronica, annoyed with her sister, shut her book and said,

"Well mother and father are going to be back from the barn soon, so why don't you ask them when they get back? But for now PLEASE shush and let me finish my novel. Once I'm done we can talk for as long as you wish."

"I guess, but should we really, you know.... mother and father will be mad I went to the Village of the West," Vanessa said, ignoring her twin sister's rant about not finishing her book.

"Well. It seems like I will never finish my book, so fine. Let's talk. I think that we should ask because it's not fair that we don't have clue about why we're always getting called names, and Mother and Father don't. Seem. To. care".

Vanessa, happy with that answer said, "Okay. Thanks for supporting me. I'll be back. I'm going to put Cassandra to bed." She got up and left with her sister in her arms.

Veronica, happy that she could finally read her book, opened it. Then she heard the front door open and heard the lovely voices of her mother and father.
