They almost appear like Pare-
Gaster shook the thought from his mind and scooped the sleeping child up from the bed. Papyrus wriggled uncomfortably before snuggling into his father's arms. Gaster smiled gently down at his son before turning to leave the room. He glanced back once more at the sleeping human, a strange feeling emitting from his center, before turning his back and closing the door.
"I have a bad feeling..."

Almost another week had passed and you had slowly become strong enough to walk by yourself. You weren't strong enough to walk everywhere for an extended period of time, however you were happy with being able to awkwardly stumble between the bathroom and the bedroom at least. Papyrus had continued to visit and you two had become closer. Gaster continued to allow you to occasionally join him in his lab. Most times you would quietly chat and drink coffee or hot chocolate. Gaster had become more open to answering questions and telling you a little about the underground. You had discovered the underground was run by a monster named Asgore Dreemur, that Gaster was in fact the royal scientist and that there were four distinct areas in the Underground.
After your chat he would return to his work and you would make the walk back to your room. You felt that you were slowly getting close to the scientist... well as close as he would let you.
Which you discovered was pretty close when he told you to gather your things and follow him. You did as he told you, though you noticed your coat and boots were gone from the desk and that the only thing you really owned was what you were wearing, and followed him towards what appeared to be an elevator. Stepping into the contraption he inputted some type of passcode you assumed and the doors slammed shut before you were rocketing upwards. A small ding sounded as you came to a stop and the doors opened. Gaster led the way into what you realized was a small house. It was warm and the smell of cooking food wafted throughout.
The lounge room was small but had a couch and TV, and there were stairs leading upwards to four doors. To the other end of the lounge was a door that led into what you assumed was the kitchen. Gaster turned away from the kitchen and instead headed towards the stairs. You followed Gaster up the steps, using the railing to keep your balance. Gaster led you to the third door before unlocking it and revealing a small room. It wasn't empty however, inside was a large drawer, a single bed, a mirror, a round table with two chairs and a chest at the end of the bed.
"This will be your new quarters from now on. My room is situated beside yours in case of an emergency. Dinner is in fifteen minutes, do not be late," Gaster stated turning to leave.
You grabbed Gaster's arm. He froze under your touch.
"T-thank you for letting me stay here... I know we got off to a bad start but-"
"I am not permitting you to stay here for emotional reasons, it is simply what is most efficient for myself," Gaster stated before pulling his arm from your grip and exiting the room.
Why is he being so cold
You sighed and decided to change into a cleaner outfit.
Opening the drawer you were glad to see a range of clothing including your coat which had been freshly washed and neatly folded. You also noticed your boots had been cleaned and left beside the bed.
I'm sure making sure my old clothes were clean and neatly folded was also efficient for you too Mr. Gaster.
You smirked while slipping into a fresh change of clothes.
