This story is pretty chill on its own, but be warned that it was written to fit with the "Alone Together" plot line, so some occurrences and events in this story may feel unresolved or unfinished if you don't read Alone Together too

If you haven't read AT, then that's fine because this story could probably be separated from that one and still make some sort of sense.
Some things will seem vague, tho. But the people who read AT, they'll just know (I believe they're called Easter Eggs)
I am writing a parallel because in Alone Together, Marik didn't have enough screentime and Bakura can't just be the bitch who did the bad things whilst the author sips her Kool Aid and doesn't tell you why
Also y'all really seemed to like the first one so here's a second one (That's also my motive for writing Limey and the Psychopath, and that one turned out to be a crowd favorite. So we'll see how this one does.)

-honestly idk what my dealio is with abridged/canon I'm doing anymore. I'm calling him Melvin rn. And Marik's an idiot. And there's thiefshipping. So it's somewhat abridged, but then not. If that makes sense.
-this plot line is the closest thing to original and my own as I'm getting. But Yu-Gi-Oh! belongs to Kazuki Takahashi and the abridged to Little Kuriboh (but Alone Together's plot belongs to me, as well as this one)
-recently I've read the book "Boy Toy" by Barry Lyga and a good chunk of this will be influenced by that book so yeah
-sometimes you may have questions about this that actually could/might be answered in Alone, Together. But if you are not satisfied or sure then feel free to ask and I will tell you
That's all I can think of. This is the first time I've written a whole thiefshipping fic since the Little MerMarik so let's see how this goes.
