Not Your Fault Pt 2

Start from the beginning

Gaster seemed slightly perturbed by what you said, "Hu- I mean _________, do you know how long you have been here?"

"A day...?" You said, though it turned into more of a question.

Gaster shook his head and made a note in his notepad (you were really starting to hate that notepad), "__________, you have been here for exactly one week."

One Week

You stared at the skeletal man in shock.

One week... how is this possible!

Gaster busied himself with untying your bonds as you sat in shock, attempting to process the news.

When he was done you shook yourself from the shock and shifted to the edge of the bed. Gaster stood nearby watching you, making sure you wouldn't attempt to escape.

You planted your feet onto the ground and slowly attempted to stand. Your legs wobbled weakly, failing to take your weight, as you stood up. All of a sudden they gave out beneath you and you found yourself in the arms of Gaster. He gazed down at you as you grasped at his lab coat.

Damn he's really tall.

"Sorry," You mumbled. However you could not find the strength to stand on your own.

Gaster sighed, "It seems that this is unavoidable. We will have to commence activities to return full control of your limbs if you are unable to regain sufficient control of them. For now I shall escort you."

His version of "escort" was not what you expected. With a sudden motion you found yourself surrounded by a purple aura. panic gripped you as you floated above the ground and you let a short yelp of terror escape past your lips.

"I will not harm you," Gaster stated as he began to walk through the door and out into a white corridor. There were no windows so you assumed you were underground.

You suddenly started to float after Gaster. Shrieking in surprise you held down the gown as it floated upwards, trying to keep any last remnants of dignity you at least believed you had.

Finally Gaster turned into another room and you got a view of a bath tub and toilet. The bathtub was already filled to the brim with steamy hot water. Raising a questioning eyebrow in Gaster's direction you felt yourself gently touch the ground.

"There is a spare change on the sink. Do not attempt anything as I will be waiting outside. Make it quick." He stated before turning to leave. He paused a moment and motioned towards the basket beside the tub, "Dirty clothing goes in there... I do not accept dirtiness in my lab."

You nodded as he exited the room. Dragging yourself to the toilet you did your business before carefully pulling yourself into the bathtub, making sure your cast remained dry. The water was scathing however as you lowered yourself in it became more bearable, soothing even. Using the soap and scrubber that sat on the edge of the tub you scrubbed at your skin. A lot of the bruises had faded however the larger ones were still noticeable, such as the one of your torso. You hadn't realized how dirty you were before. Your arms, legs and face were cleaner then the rest of your body however.

Gaster must have made sure I wasn't a complete mess.

You eyes glanced towards the door where Gaster said he would wait.

I wonder what kind of guy he really is...

You sighed as you dragged yourself to sit on the edge of the tub and dried yourself off before changing into the clean robe and discarding the older clothing into the basket.

"I'm done," You called out towards the door.

Immediately after Gaster entered. He looked you over approvingly. "I'll bring you a brush later on," He told you as he motioned to your stringy wet hair.

"Thank you," You said quietly.

Gaster appeared to be about to reply but instead turned his back to you before flicking his wrist. The familiar purple aura of Gaster's magic engulfed you as you floated by his side. This time however you sat cross legged.

I feel like a genie

You giggled at the childish thought.

"What is it that you find so amusing?"

You noticed Gaster's eye was trained on you in curiosity.

Blushing at the embarrassment on having to explain your childish thoughts you answered, "I just thought I looked like a genie."

Gaster raised an I socket, "A genie?"

"A genie, they're a magic being from human stories. If a person finds a genie then they are granted three wishes," You explained.

Gaster's eyes returned to in front of him, "A useless fairytale then. Wishes are simply the way low intellectual creatures face their problems with out having to realise the reality of their situation and can not be relied on in the eyes of science."

You rolled your eyes but stayed quiet realizing Gaster had moved on from the topic as they approached you quarters.

He laid you gently on the bed as the purple magic dissipated.

"I will return for your check up tomorrow morning," He stated simply before leaving. "I assume I do not need to take precautions to keep you from leaving? Or causing harm to yourself?"

You frowned before looking at the bindings on the bed, realization dawning on you, "N-no."

"Good, I will see you tomorrow," Gaster stated before locking the door behind him.

So he was using those to protect me? Strange guy... but understandable I guess.

You lay down and stared up at the ceiling.

This Gaster person is definitely interesting.

You sighed as your eyes closed and you slipped into sleep.
