"Star! Star! Wake up Star!" A black tom with white markings meowed, frantically shaking a silvery-white cat. Both their pelts shimmered liked the stars, but the silver tom's pelt seemed to be made completely of stars.
The silver tom flicked the other cat with his tail and tucked his nose further under his paws. "No, Wildspring. Let me sleep, I delivered five prophecies to the Living Clans. I need to rest."
"But, Star! Don't you want to say bye to Heatherflower before you are reborn into the living world?" Wildspring stopped shaking Star.
"That's today!?" Star scrambled to his paws and dashed out of the cave, moss still stuck in his fur. "Heatherflower!" He called out, skidding to a halt next to a tan tortoiseshell cat with pink-ish-orange paws, tail-tip, muzzle, and ears.
The cat spun around, colliding with Star. "Star?"
"Ow-Heatherflower!" Star nuzzled the she-cat as the stars in his fur seemed to fade.
"Star! What's happening to you?" Heatherflower yowled in shock.
"It is time, Heatherflower." Star licked his mate on last time, then his body was gone.
"Wildspring! What happened to Star?" The she-cat spun to face the confused tom.
"His time of rebirth has come." Wildspring answered, limping up to the startled she-cat. "Your time will be next."
