The only people who knew where the moon goddess, Ryan and herself.
She lived a horrible childhood. Her 'father' ( Ivan) was an alcoholic and drug addict. He was human and had a burning hatred towards werewolves, Faith never new why but as soon as she started to show signs of her wolf at age 5 her father would try to kill her wolf. He burned her, beat her, drowned her in attempt to disable her healing. She always came back after the torture more and more broken.
Her mother ( Abby) was hopelessly in love with her mate. So much so she stood by him even if he was constantly with other women, beating her, and raping her. She couldn't leave, and Faith grew up hearing her mothers cries for mercy. She was constantly raped but to her it was love. She got pregnant with her first child and when the time came to hell her mate she was pregnant. He beat her and she lost the child. A couple years later she was pregnant again and when faith showed she was a werewolf like her mother. Ivan killed his own mate. Blaming her for brining an abomination to the world.
After finally running away from her abusive father faith became a rouge and barley survived until she met Ryan.

He took out all his anger and grief for losing his mate on him. He lived in the basement, chained to walls with silver chains that burned through his skin every minute of the day.
He would get beat every other day. His father would beat him with silver whips and forcefully poured the substance in his mouth and over his body. He beat him to near death only letting him live because his father wanted him to suffer. He was feed 3 times a week but only a meer piece of bread and meat along with a water bottle once every two weeks.
Ryan managed to get a hold of the silver at 9 years old and threw it at his fathers eyes. He ran. He ran for days and learned to live a rouge life. He survived along with the animals and other rouges who didn't bother him until he stumbled upon a little girl.
She was screaming for help by the river. Being pulled under by the intense current of the storm over them. The lightning and thunder hid her screams but he ran to help her and she was holding onto one of the logs that got caught. He saved her. The two became best friends and were everything to one another. Deep down they both hoped that at age 17 they would be each others mates but they were not. The still survived together and he cared for her and so did she.
