Scarlett's Point Of View

The walk to the common folk's area of the city was short. I just needed to find the right house. After about 10 minutes of looking around and avoiding people, I found the residence of the Way's.

I rushed to the house, rapping impatiently on the door. Michael opened it.

"Princess-"

"I need to see Gerard, now." Michael looked surprised, before turning back into the house.

I heard him say, "Gerard, someone's here to see you." And seconds later, Gerard ran to the door.

I threw myself into his arms. It took him a second, before he wrapped his arms around me tightly.

"I thought I lost you, I was told our family wasn't allowed to see you anymore." He whispered, keeping ahold of me.

"I know. But we need to go." I said hurriedly. I pulled away to see a confused expression on his face.

"What?"

"If we want to stay together, we need to leave the kingdom. It isn't safe for you or your family here." I said. He nodded, turning back into the house, I assume to tell his family.

Pete's Point Of View

I walked out of the castle, mumbling slightly angrily to myself. I found myself in the common folk area of the kingdom.

I turned to my right to see a very familiar figure hugging a man with jet black hair. They were talking to each other.

I crept closer to Princess Scarlett and the mysterious man to hear what they were talking about.

"If we want to stay together, we need to leave the kingdom."

He turned away and ran into the house. I ran off before she could tell I was there. I ran back to castle quickly.

Gerard's Point Of View

I ran back into my house, calling my family into the lounge.

"Okay, I need to be honest with you..." I turned to the door. "Scarlett, can you come here?"

She entered the room, standing at my side. "We're together." My mother gasped, and Mikey looked upset. "And we need to get out of here if we want to stay alive."

"Why?" My mother asked, still looking surprised.

"We aren't supposed-"

"My father will kill you all if we don't leave now." Scarlett interrupted me mid-sentence. "There's an abandoned city not too far from here, that we can hide out at until we need to move again."

"This doesn't sound like a good idea..." My father said, looking at my mother worriedly. "But if it's true, about the king, then we need to leave now."

Everyone broke off after that. My father called for a carriage, my mother went to go pack only necessities, Mikey went to go do whatever he does. That left Scarlett and I in the lounge.

"Go pack what you need." Scarlett said, smiling. "Then we'll finally be safe."

"What about you? And Jake?" I asked her, slipping her hand in mine.

"I've already sent a messenger I can trust to fetch Jake and Billie Joe. They should be here soon." She replied, squeezing my hand gently. I smiled, pecking her lips gently. "Now go pack what you need."
