"Hey mom I'm on my way home. " I said into my phone as I walked out of the party at Hanna's house.
"OK sweetie but be careful. There's supposed to be a huge snowstorm. And Hanna's house is surrounded by lakes. Just promise me you will be careful baby. Ok?"
"Mom.I'll be fine okay?"
"okay sweetie. its just. you never know."
"I love you. bye mom." I hung up the phone. I walked across the street to my beat up red mustang and started it. it turned over a couple of times but eventually started. I pulled out of Hanna's drive and started down the road. I decided the quickest way home would be to take a little bridge that crosses over a small lake. not a good idea considering the weather I know but it was cold and I wanted to go home and crawl into bed. oh my sweet, sweet bed. I couldn't wait to be home. I was pulled from my thoughts by tires skidding and a loud metal crash. before i knew it my car was submerged into the icy cold water. I heard someone scream and I realized it was me. I found my phone and texted my mom

I- mom I'm so sorry I should have been more careful
m-baby whats wrong? what happened?
m-I'm calling you
"hello? macy baby what happened?" my mom frantically asked.
"momma I love you! I drove off of the bridge and now my car is sinking momma you have to help me!" I got those words out as I thought about what would happen if no one found me in time.
"macy baby I think I know the bridge! I'm coming to get you baby! but yo have to stay on the phone!" my mom tried to reassure me. it almost worked.
"m-momma I-I'm cold-d-d"
"try to find a blanket somewhere in our car baby I'm almost there"
"momma there's snow piled on my c-car"
"baby ill find you. don't worry"
