Raiding a grocery store for food and anything I thought would help me I grabbed as much canned food as I could carry. As soon as I walked out the door, a low growl came from down the road. A hungry looking tiger stalked down the street, hopping into a garbage can nearby and praying that the stench would cover my scent. The pressure of knowing that the tiger was right outside the thin metal wall made my hair stand on end. I could hear the tiger as it coughed right next to my head. Hoping that the wall would be thick enough as the noise of another animal skittering off as it realized it made a wrong turn, catching the tigers attention. Leaving me to think about what I would do next time.

Slipping out of the garbage can, the stench still on me I walked around to the front of a apartment building, carefully pulling open the door hoping not to find anything on the other side. Sitting in one apartment that I had blocked every window and door that lead to the outside.Hoping nothing would be able to get inside. I wrapped myself in a light blanket and curled up on the floor of the kitchen. Lighting a candle as I eat some cake that tasted like cardboard. Tears burned my eyes as the thought of my mom's cakes filled my head. Pulling out a diary and pen I had picked up earlier that day and began to write.

Day 5840                                                                                                                       My name is Alexander Smit, and i'm just turning 16 years old boy from Broadus, Montana and have no clue how to use a gun or any type of weapon to protect myself. I have asthma and fail at athletic stuff. Three days ago, all the world disappeared with no sign of any other human life, nothing in the cars except for animals that had been left in them. Some cars had run into other things. The power had turned itself off within ten minutes. All I have is a bag slung over my shoulder. The streets were filled with domestic animals that had fought their way out of their containment's. Fear filled every inch of my veins as I thought that I would be alone not knowing how to protect myself from the creatures around me. Stuck being alone for the rest of my life with only my dog to keep me company. If something had taken everyone, the reason I was not would have been because I am a weakling that can not do any cool thing with computers and can not protect myself from even my little sister. I grabbed this to try and keep myself sain in the world that is slowly falling apart.
