I sat in the car, the windows down, and a breeze running through my hair. The music barely heard from the loud noise of the wind. Next to me, my fiancée is driving towards do final destination, Mystic Falls. I shut the windows and looked over at him. "So you grew up in Mystic Falls, huh?" I asked. "Yeah, my family is one of the founders of the town so we kind of have to stay there" he said. "Well I'm excited to meet them" I said. My fiancée grabbed my hand and kissed it. "I'm excited for you to meet them" he said. "Such a gentlemen" I said.

After hours and hours of driving to the little town of Mystic Falls, we arrived. As he pulled in the driveway, a mansion appeared. "So you lived here?" I asked, very surprised. "Yeah, I don't like to share the details of my childhood home for obvious reasons" he said. He parked the car and we got out to get the luggage. "Mason!" A woman yelled. We turned around and saw his sister-in-law, Carol. "Hey!" Mason yelled back as he grabbed the suitcase. Carol walked down to greet us. "I'm so glad you could make it!" Carol said while hugging him. "Carol, this is my fiancée, Evelyn" mason said. Carol hugged me and greeted me. "What did I miss?" A teenage boy said. "Tyler!" Mason said and gave him a hug. "Tyler! Meet Evelyn, my fiancée" mason said while turning to me. "Hello Evelyn" Tyler said, I waved. "Well, you guys should get inside, your room is already cleaned out." Carol said. "Great thanks Carol" mason said.

We unpacked, got ready, and went back downstairs. Carol was in the living room, watching tv. "Oh great, you guys are done. The get together for Richard is tonight so make sure you look presentable mason. Other than that you guys are free to do whatever you want." Carol said. "Great, we'll be around" mason said. I followed him into the hallway. "I'm going to hang with Tyler for a bit, I hope you don't mind" he said. "No, go ahead I'll be getting ready for tonight anyways" I said. Mason kissed me and we parted ways.

I was all ready for tonight's party but Mason needed help, like usual. "Not even a tie?" I asked, holding up his only tie. "No, no ties at all" he said. "Oh come on, it's for your brother" I said. "He will understand" he said. I rolled my eyes, "fine." I hugged him and picked his lips before going downstairs. When I got there, Tyler was in the living room all alone. "Hey" I said. Tyler turned around and smiled at me. "Fiancée huh?" He asked. I held up my left hand to show him my engagement ring. "Yep" I said waving my hand. "He never seemed like the man to settle down with someone" he said. I shrugged my shoulders and sat down on the couch. "What are you watching?" I asked. "Some lame tv show... there's nothing really on." Tyler said flicking through the channels. "Is there anything I need to know before this party?" I asked. Tyler laughed a bit and looked at me, "maybe some questions about you and Mason from relatives and especially my mother." "Oh no" I said while laughing. "Tyler! Turn the tv off, the guests have arrived" Carol yelled. "I guess that's my queue" Tyler said. "I guess it is" I said. "Good luck, you will need it" he said. "Thanks" I said while laughing.

The party was normal, relatives asking about how I met mason and things around him, Saying hi to guests I didn't know, etc. I went outside to enjoy the nice weather when I spotted someone, Damon Salvatore. I panicked and ran the other way so he couldn't see me. I went upstairs and into the bathroom. Luckily the bathroom had a window looks out in the back where Damon was. But then I saw her, Katherine Pierce. "Oh no..." I said. I shit the window and closed the blinds. I had to steer clear of them. If I had known they were here, I wouldn't have come.

But then a loud thud was heard, then another. I ran downstairs to investigate. "Get off me!" Tyler yelled. I ran into the office and saw Mason pinning Tyler to the wall. "Calm down!" Mason said. Tyler calmed down and Mason looked at me. "What's going on?" I asked. "Tyler got angry, he just needed to clam down" Mason said. I nodded my head. "Tyler, tell all the guests to leave, most of them probably left already anyways." Mason said. Tyler nodded and left. "I'll clean it up" I said. "I'll help you" Mason said. So we both cleaned up the mess Tyler made together while talking about him. "Is he-?" Is asked. "No, not yet at least but let's hope it stays like that" Mason said.
