Mother Valeria opened her beautiful golden eyes and stared at the full-sized mirror in front of her, reflecting her slim body dressed with a jet black velvet dress, decorated by an exquisite red taffeta in the middle panel with beautiful black velvet detail, her waist was secured with a corset type lacing. She combed her red wavy hair on her side covering those large and fully ripe breast, shaped with a perfect hemisphere. They seemed to be virtually uninfluenced by the force of gravity. Her dark red lips formed a bewitched smile as she spun around.
Her laughter echoed in the crooked isolated cottage near a cliff, located just yards away from the sea. Her interiors are all mostly filled with junks, old books, candles, skeletons, and ropes of cobwebs covering every surface of the house forming a mess of white veil. Bottles of unknown liquid potions with various types of shapes and sizes were arranged neatly in a wooden wall shelves all around the living room. Wood-fire blazing eerily in the stone fireplace flashing bright red refection illuminating the whole living room, standing beside was a rocking chair made out of bones. Both of humans and animals.
She danced and twisted her elegant body like a graceful ballerina all around her narrow living room and paused in front of a small round table. There, stood a glass menagerie of a wolf. A black wolf. She slides her slender fingers along the chin of the figurine and giggled.
Behind the glass menagerie, there was a floating open book with no title surrounded by a red aura and other floating bottles of potions, the left page of the book were written in Latin writings, with a few sketches of wild flowers while on the right, there was an illustration of a black wolf, baring its teeth, bellow ferociously, trying to get out of the page.
Mother Valeria pulled the edge of her right lips upward, creating a mesmerizing smug sneer .
"Poor doggy" she purred and walked towards the creaky and narrow timber stairs that ends up with a wooden door and entered the room.
Outside the house..
A warlock in red surfaced from the ground in front of the witch little cottage, anchoring her attention on the front wooden door that was pinned with animal skull, herbs and wild flowers. The cloak worn by the warlock flutter in the night breeze as the half-moon shone its light to the warlock, forming a shadow which hides the face beneath the draping red hood.
But Mother Valeria knows. She can sense any walking sorceress or dangerous being around her. In her room, lighting a black candle on a piece of log, she grabbed a bottle of potion on the wooden wall shelves next to a bear skin bed, pulled out the cork and inhaled it. Deeply. A purple mist came out of the bottle. She poured the liquid onto the log, creating a circle around the candle. The witch faced the black candle and chanted,
Moon goddess Moon goddess, Goddess I plead to thee, Make waves bigger than me.
And as soon as she chanted the spell, the breeze swooped fiercely, instantly blows out the black candle for a few seconds and then, the wild wind cease to a sudden stop. The warlock outside laid out its hands and a blue crystal staff taller than the warlock itself formed out of its palm. The sound of the waves hitting ashore are no longer audible. The silence was uncanny and instinctively, the warlock tilted its head towards the sea, only to found a mass of sand with no sea water.
Until, a large shadow was cast on the warlock, blocking the moonlight rays that shine on the warlock just moments ago. The warlock looked up. And a big seven headed sea serpent made out of seawater started to bash its head towards the warlock one by one, creating massive consecutive earthquakes. The warlock dodged and flipped and tripped and spins its way out. But two of the heads hit it from each side and slap the warlock with a loud 'spooshh!!' trapped the warlock into a ball of giant seawater. Mother Valeria opened the front door and bowed to the Warlock in a graceful manner.
"Could've called before you came"
The remaining seawater that were shaped into the seven headed sea serpent above her head shoot upwards towards the sky. Moments later, a big thunder came accompanied by a heavy rain pouring to the ground, filling up the oceanless sea. Mother Valeria waved her hand at the seawater that trapped the warlock and it turned into ice.
Then, she felt a sudden stab pain from her back. She looked down to her chest and saw the tip of a thin crystal blue staff passes through her body, covered in blood.
"Never assume that you only fight one person at a time, witch" said a voice behind her.
The fight had caused a great storm that stretches across the whole realm. Far beyond the woods, there lay a small village savaged by the great storm. The villagers stayed in their house, hiding in fear of Mother Valeria's power. They knew it was her. But they didn't know what caused her to go rampage. But they only know one thing. After the great storm, words spread. Mother Valeria, the witch near the cliff is dead. And no one knows who killed her.
