"Careful, Adam!" Ruby yelled.
"Yeah, pft, I know that Ruby!" I glared back at her.
This isn't my first time ice skating. Yeah so maybe Ruby was a pro at this, still, I'm not that bad.
"Try to jump in the air," she suggested.
"Alright," I reply as I cross my arms and jump.
"Wow!" Ruby said as her eyes sparkled, "that was amazing!"
"Better than before?" I said smirking. She nodded as she skated towards me.
"So last night I was thinking," she began. Wait . . . Is she goes to confess her feelings to me? I . . .
"I feel the same way too. . ." I said rather slowly.
"Really!?" She said smiling, "you want to join the Olympics!?"
Ugh . . . What I said was so uncool. . .
"Well, you would outshine me," I said trying to act relaxed.
She smiles and skates to the end of the frozen lake. I follow ready to give her my present.
"Ruby," I say quietly. She turns still on the ice staring at me. I reach into my leather jacket and reach for the scarf. The scarf was a beautiful white color the same as snow.
I walked close and wrapped it on top of her black coats collar. I took a few steps back and realized, it was a longer scarf then I expected it to be. Except, it was still beautiful.
"Thank you, Adam. I love it. It's really soft," she said as her cheeks turned into a pink color.
"I'm glad."
I took my skates off, putting my shoes on and led the way out of the frozen forest.
I almost lost my cool for a second.
