Chapter 1

I wake up to the yelling from down stairs. "Ughhhh!" I groaned and got out of bed. "Hey Jennie. Hurry up and get dressed to go to Caleb's house ok?" It was Johnny. My older brother. Ok,here's what's up with me:My full name if Jennifer Marie Cade. I am 14 years old,and my birthday is December 15. Its November now,and I'm home schooled. Not at this house!! My bestest friend Caleb's mom home schools me. I dropped to the floor. I didn't expect my bed to be that short,but I guess it is. "Ouch!" I yelled. Yes. I am trying to be noisy. Yes. I am scared of my parents. Yes. I am a total idiot. But its worth it for Johnny. "Jen, you done?" I flipped him off. "No I'm not done! I just got out of bed!" He laughed, and gave me a hug, and a kiss on the cheek. "Now get out so I can get changed." I said. He laughed. "Ok mom.." He snickered. I glared at him. "Ok,ok I'm walking away." He said. I couldn't help but laugh. I went to my closet,and picked out a pair of blue skinny jeans,a green tank top,and a red flannel shirt over the tank top I was wearing. I was real thin,and had dark skin like Johnny's. I had brown eyes, and my hair was straight,and sometimes it was wavy. I picked up a red beanie, and my skateboard and walked over towards the door. "Hurry up Johnny there coming up the stairs!" I yelled whispered. "Ok. Move!" I heard my mom yell from the bottom. "Run Jennie!" Johnny whispered. "Dude...I'm right here!" I yelled. I wish I didn't. I heard footsteps coming up the stairs and I hurried up and grabbed Johnny. "I'm going to lock this door,and we climb out the window." I said,and he nodded. I grabbed my board,and my blade,and walked out to the side of my window. My window is on the 2nd floor,front,of the house. Me and Johnny have done this so much,it's like a routine for us. We hop out the window,still on the roof,just a little bit,walk over to the side,grab the rope we tide on to before,and slide down. Once we hit the bottom,we ran. Mom and dad would go look for us,but Johnny would hop on my back, and I would ride the skateboard. He was light enough. "Johnny?" I asked. "Yea Jennie?" "You ok?" He was shaking like a leaf and I heard him whisper. "I'm fine. I just don't want the touching you. They're at the house? You run. You understand me?" I nodded. I mouthed 'to late.' I know he didn't see it,but I had to mouth it. Whenever he's gone,my parents come into my room and beat the shit out of me.
I have all kinds of bruises and cuts and stuff like that. "Jennie?" I heard Johnny speak up. "Yea Johnathan?" He glared, but I laughed. He's full name is Johnathan. "Im going to the gangs house. Stay with Caleb ok?" I rolled my eyes. "Fine..." I said. "Johnny why can't I meet the gang for?" I said dropping him off at the park. "Because. I don't want you to act like them. Especially Dallas Winston." "Ughh fine." I said. "Johnny! You ain't leaving without a hug!" He turned back around, and gave me a hug,and a kiss on the cheek. "Bye Jennie. I love you." He said as he fadded into the crowd of little kids. "Love you to Johnny." I said quietly, afraid someone would hear me. I got back on the board,and skated off. When I showed up at Caleb's house,he was already outside. "Your late." He said trying to keep a serious face. He gave in and laughed. I had to laugh to. I hugged him,and he hugged me back,putting his hands on my waist,and kissed my forehead. No. We are not dating. No. We never will. No. Just no. "So Whatchu been up to Caleb?" I asked. "Oh nothing. You just saw me yesterday." He said and I smirked. "Do we have to go to 'school'?" I asked. He looked at me. "Yes. But we don't have to." I looked up and smiled at him. "Your the best."I said,and he blushed. "I know." He said and smiled. He put his arm over my shoulder, and we headed to Dairy Queen.
