"I'm gay David." Oh, okay... wait, What?
"What?" Jordan shuffled around, clearly uncomfortable. But I just couldn't register the words he just said. How could my best friend be.. you know..gay. I mean we grew up together, hell we used to take baths together.
"I... sorry. This was a bad idea. Um, I just thought you should know. I get it if this means we can't be friends anymore." He mumbled, putting his hands in a fist. I sighed and stared at him, his large hands hooked together,
"Dude no, I'm not gonna drop you over something like that. I'm just..." I closed my locker and turned to face him. "Surprised is all. I never thought of you as that." It's true. When I think of gay guys, I see girly looking men which Jordan was far from. He was tall, almost 2 inches more than me, broad shoulders, very fit, plus he played basketball. I would be jealous if I wasn't already dating the most beautiful girl in school. I'm not saying I'm bad to look at. My nose is kind of big for a Mexican but I've been told my jawline more than makes up for it. Plus I got eye lashes for days and lips that make a girl blush so ha. Although his eyes do piss me off. How many mixed black guys have blue eyes? It's not fair!
"Okay. Thanks man. I was scared for a second there."
"Don't be. So your into dudes, who cares? Besides, just means more chicks for me."
"You probably shouldn't let Bella hear you say that." I laughed as he crossed his arms. They seemed to flex with every movement. Maybe i should start working out.
"Haha, she knows I'd never cheat. So uh, if you don't mind me asking, how long have you known?" Jordan shuffled around a bit, I could see the faintest trace of red on his darker skin.
"Since... since I was twelve." My jaw dropped.
"Twelve? You didn't tell me for-" I slowed my speech and counted for a second."four years?"
Jordan chuckled.
"5 actually."
"Shut up, you know I suck at math." He laughed at that and I smiled. I like making him laugh. He was always so quiet, even around me.
"I'm sorry. It was just, scary I guess."
"Don't apologize. But you better not hide anything else from me man. I'm supposed to your best friend remember? You can trust me." He nodded grabbing his back pack off the ground.
"Good. Now that the sappy crap is over with lets head home." I said grabbing my bag as well. Jordan nodded again as we headed out the high schools front doors. He seemed to be in a much better mood than he was at the beginning of the day. Guess this whole gay thong was really weighing on him.
"David!" I heard the familiar sound of my girlfriend as Jordan and I headed to the parking lot. Bella ran up to me, wrapping her arms around one of mine. Her strawberry blonde hair had grown almost to the middle of her back and was delicately styled. She was dressed nicely and was wearing that perfume that I liked. I hope she's wearing sunscreen, she's realy pale for a Latina. I leaned down to kiss her cheek and she giggled. Bouncing up and down she grinned before saying,
"Nother one! Come on, gimme another one!" I chuckled, man I love weird girls. I leaned down and pressed another kiss onto her cheek and then her lips.
"Haha, yay! So what are you two up to?" She asked still holding my arm.
"We're just heading home." Jordan said pointing to his car. Bella frowned.
"Aww, you two are so boring. It's Friday! We should go hangout somewhere."
"And do what?"
"I don't know Jordan, teenage rebellion. Let's go steal a stop sign or something!" I laughed.
"Babe, what is it with you traffic signals?"
"I don't like being told what do." Jordan sighed and rolled his eyes.
"I uh, rather not get arrested."
"Haha, yeah babe. Besides Friday night's are guys remeber?" She threw up her arms and sighed.
"Oh fine. Go waist your youth with Jordan the buzz kill and Tyler the... wait, he's okay I guess." Jordan stuck his tounge out at her comment and she returned the favor.
"I'll talk you later babe okay?" I said as apolgeticly as I could. She pouted a bit before increasing her arms.
"Okay. See you later then." She turned around and headed towards her car before seeing her friend. "Cortny, girl let's hang!" She ran to the other girls direction.
"Dude, I think I'm in love." I said. Jordan snorted, unlocking his car.
"Yeah, I can see why."
"Oh come on, you know you love her. But if you don't we need to talk. Can't have my best friend and girlfriend mad at each other." He grined, crossing his arms.
"She's fine." I laughed shoveing his shoulder.
"Good... so about this whole gay thing," I asked as we sat in his car Jordan's smile faltered a bit and he reached for his seat belt. "Have you told your parents?" He relaxes at that. I don't see why he's still on edge, I already told him it doesn't bother me.
"No. Not yet. But I will, I don't think they'll mind. Honestly it was just you I was worried about."
"Oh okay,... Wait, what do mean just me!" He laughed.
"Well it's just, I don't know. You've never outright stated your feelings on gay people. And you dad's the head of the church." I rolled my eyes. Like I give a crap what that guy thinks. He could could get abducted by aliens and I still wound't give a-
"He's still your dad David." He said as if reading my mind.
"Dad's don't divorce your mother then remarry some puta and act there better than everyone else. Fuck him and his new family and that stupid church." Jordan reached out to touch my shoulder, trying to console me but I was fine. I didn't reply care anymore. Mom, my brother, and I were doing just fine without him... mostly.

"But on a lighter note, I got that game you wanted for tonight." Jordan's eyes went wide.

"You don't mean-"
"Yup, the one from Japan."
"Oh my God David your the best!"
