Chapter 1
I don't fit in anywhere, especially not in a little town filled with preps, drug dealers, gangsters, wanna be's, stoners and whatever else existed in this miserable little town. But as I say "one did not choose their place, their place was choosen for them" meaning I didn't want to be here in this miserable town but the family refused to give me the joy of moving somewhere else. I am seventeen years old, living in something like pleasantville but not so pleasant, everyday at school I expect to be tackled by some gang banger who accidently mistakes me for another gang banger from rivaling gang in the school, or to be tripped and made fun of by the preps. They are basically my main concern of not wanting to be in school, but I keep it to myself because soon I'll be old enough to leave and make my own way into the world out of this miserable little town that has only held bad memories for me mostly. Today is the first day of my last year in my pathetic high school, I wonder what lovely surprises await me this year. Maybe this year will be better.............I've been saying that to myself since I was in first grade and I've learned that it doesn't work. Oh well here comes my ride to the hell....wait this town is hell. I get on the bus and quickly spot Amy's blond head bobbing up and down, she is one of my few close friends that I've made while I've lived here. She shares my opinon on this town and wants to leave it as soon as possible too. I sit next to her as she takes out her headphones and puts away her ipod.
"What are you listening to?" I ask her.
"Some old 2 Pac." She responded as she handed me her schedual and I compared it to mine.
"Oh, I have math first hour with you, then English, Government, Art, Foods, lunch, P.E., French and Science" I said as to my dismay we only had three classes together which were math, P.E., and lunch if you concider that a class at all. She looked over the papers and saw what classes we shared and which ones we didn't.
"Hmmm....I wonder who we got stuck with in all our other classes. Hopefully this year I didn't get stuck with Roger or Anthony in any of my classes this year. Agh, they are total idiots, they never shut up in class." She said with as she put away her schedual and the bus kept going on it's route.
"You dated them remember? So if they talk to you it's because of that. We are talking about Anthony Tek right or Anthony Bodner?" I asked her since I had a very good friend who's name was also Anthony.
"Yes of course I was talking about Tek, and please don't mention him anymore it makes me nauseated when I hear his name or think of him." She said as she pretended to puke.
"What about Bodner?" I asked.
"Oh him he's a idiot too, but he's not half as bad as Anthony and Roger ewww." We broke out laughing as the bus turned onto a new route that it hadn't gone on before. Gail, the bus driver opened the bus door and a tall, muscular, gothic guy got on the bus and sat down right next to our seat. We stopped laughing as soon as he sat down and exchanged looks.
"Check him out, he's not half bad for a goth." Amy whispered to me I elbowed her in the ribs.
"Shhh that's so rude, what if he heard you?" I said as I used the old make up mirror trick to look at him since I was facing Amy I had my back to him. He had short spiked jet black hair, black eyeliner around his emerald colored eyes and he had his nose pierced along with the top cartialge of one of his ears. Suddenly he looked directly into the mirror where I was observing him from and held my gaze. He had a hypnotizing gaze I couldn't hear or say anything while he looked directly at me it was as if I was lost in a different world. But I was dragged out of that world when I was thown backwards out of the seat and landed hard on my back.
"Oh my god Sam are you okay?" It was Amy who was speaking, I could hear and feel everything again.
"Ummm hold on let me check....okay yeah no broken bones maybe a bruise or two but that's it. What on earth happened just now?" I asked but before Amy could answer me someone else did.
