Knock. Knock.
"Somebody get that!" Pietro (Quick Silver) yelled. The tube was finally working and he had the remote in his favorite armchair.
Fred (Blob) was carrying a giant stack of plates into the kitchen while Todd (Toad) was helping Wanda (Scarlet Witch) wash the dishes.
"Uh man, we kinda busy," Todd replied. He rotated the plate Wanda handed him with his hand towel.
Knock. Knock.
"Lance, get the door!" Pietro yelled.
Lance was walking up the stairs with a heavy box of pipes and wrenches. "Get it yourself," Lance snapped. He was thinking of rocking the house but decided against it because of the plumbing.
Mystique passed Lance on the waydown the stairs. "Pietro, you lazy fool! When I get my handson you I'll--"
Knock. Knock. Knock.
Mystique took a deep breath and opened the door.
Gambit was standing next to a short girl with her hair side-braided.
"Gambit." Mystique let both of them come in and lead them to the diningroom table. After getting them both a cup of tea she sat across the table from them.
"So, you seem to be holding down the fort well," said Gambit.
Pietro picked his head around the corner and then slowly walked into the room, followed by the rest of the team.
